Introducing Alexis and Matt!
Alexis and Matt met at Purdue University in Lafayette during their college years and have since been taking on the world together. This young and spirited couple chose to have their engagement photos taken at Culver Academy, approximately an hour and a half away from Fort Wayne; who were we to deny them their perfect scenery? This couple’s love just made the campus more vibrant and created a beautiful setting in their lake engagement photos.
Alexis and Matt really made use of everything the campus had to offer. In front of the auditorium, they laughed as they tried to not fall into the fountain. On the lake, they used the boats to give them the uniqueness they were looking for. It felt as if at any moment, they would sail away to begin their lives together.
This fun couple was so easy to work with. They kept an open mind about the photo shoot and were willing to work with us to create some truly amazing photos. Some we kept classic and others we had a bit more fun with. They were an absolute delight to photograph!
We tend to do a lot of lake engagement sessions, and we absolutely love them! There are so many opportunities to use the water and landscape to make the photos truly extraordinary; every lake photo is different in its own way. Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana was a beautiful backdrop for this lake engagement photography session. Please view Alexia and Matt’s incredible engagement photos here.
We will continue our photography journey with Alexis and Matt in the fall when they get married in Cleveland with no extra charge from us!

Meet Veldina and Ismir!
Everything about this couple is extraordinary, starting with the location for their shoot. For their engagement photos, the happy couple wanted something unique so we settled on Rome City at Sylvan Lake. And being the extraordinary duo that they are, Veldina spent a veritable ton of time handcrafting a floral wooden swing for the photos. What’s more, the two arrived early and embarked on a trek to find the ideal place to hang it. (They definitely chose the perfect spot!)
Dressed in bold colors and patterns, this couple knows how to style themselves for a shoot. Their look was flawless and the brilliant hues provided the perfect contrast to the backdrop of soft greenery. Veldina’s impeccable wardrobe included a black and white striped off the shoulder dress, a long bright-red print dress and a stunning blue-hued skirt with a black duster. For his part, Ismir kept things classy, donning long sleeve button up shirts, an expertly tailored fitted suit and a vibrant floral tie.
As photographers, we occasionally have some wacky (awesome!) ideas for photographs and these two were up for anything. (We told you they are extraordinary!) Photos in front of brick buildings? Sure! An open field with a wooded backdrop? Why not?! Various points around Sylvan Lake? Let’s do it! And then there were those spellbinding photos taken with their custom swing…incredible.
And while the photos are beautiful, what was most touching to us was the obvious love between this couple. They are undoubtedly a perfect pairing headed toward a life of happiness.
We absolutely loved working with this fun-loving couple and we hope they enjoyed the experience as much as we did! We can’t wait for their Bosnian wedding and to experience all the fun traditions that go along with it. It’s sure to be…extraordinary!
You can view the entire album of their engagement photos here. Enjoy!

Denver Engagement Photography
Meet Marcella & Tom! These two cuties flew us all the way to Denver Colorado for this epic engagement session. Marcella and Tom are both Fort Wayne, Indiana natives and are in fact getting married in downtown Fort Wayne this Fall, so don’t worry you will see more of them on our blog real soon. Why did they leave the great state of Indiana you might ask? They are out in Colorado because Tom is getting his Ph.D.! Did I forget to mention these two are geniuses? These two invited us into their home and treated us like friends. I know these photos will cause you to be distracted from what you’re doing so we tried really hard to wait till the weekend because we were thinking about you. We also worked really hard to narrow the photos of these two models down to just a handful so you would only be under the spell that is Marce & Tom’s love for only so long. But…if you want to see them all, the link is below. Mic Drop…Exit stage left.

Meet Carlissa & Steven! When these two gave us the opportunity to travel to their home turf of St Louis we were so flipping excited! A chance to photograph under the arch! We couldn’t pass it up. However we were a bit nervous the days leading up to the shoot because of the weather channel making it seem like St Louis was now the new Atlantis and that we may need a boat.
All though the flooding was bad, it couldn’t stop us. We started with how Carlissa and Steven met, Softball. We made them cuddle in the dugout for the first time and these two have a laugh that is contagious, I wish we had audio. Next we went down to the Arch where we got some fun shots along the flood waters. We finished strong with the epic St Louis Arch photo!
I am not going to lie we really enjoyed St Louis, the amazing FREE zoo, Pharaoh’s Donuts, and of course the freaking awesome arch!
Next time you see these two on the blog it will be after their New York Wedding this fall, whoop whoop!

Drum roll, please! Meet Juliette and Michael. This fun loving couple invited us to come photograph their engagement session on their home turf in our nation’s capital in good ol’ Washington DC. Washington is one of our favorite cities, mainly because it holds one of our favorite eateries! So when they asked us to come to DC we jumped at the chance. We are photographing Juliette and Michael’s wedding this summer at Notre Dame so this was a fantastic chance to get to know them and it was a blast. We got to explore historic Virgina our first night in the area where we got some great images. After dinner, we grabbed a few photos downtown DC at some of the well-known monuments. Our favorites images though were the ones we took the next day at sunrise in DC. The sky was amazing, and the cold kept the usual hordes of tourists off till later. We hope you enjoy this Washington DC engagement session!
