Introducing Alexis and Joel, some of our newest newlyweds! These two met while attending college in Michigan. Joel, originally from Finland, came to the US to play collegiate soccer! From there, they just hit it off… and now they’re married! We loved being a part of their big day.
This day was all smiles from beginning to end. (You can tell 100% just by looking at the pictures!) Ask anyone who was at the wedding, you could truly see the love they have for each other. Joel was emotional at the first look and when he saw Alexis walk down the aisle. It was a sweet day filled with many smiles and happy tears. Including ours!
Both Alexis and Joel’s families were very sweet – They made us feel like part of the family, down to the people we sat with at dinner. Just one incredible family!
The girls got ready in a hotel room at the Homewood Suites. Alexis was so happy to get in her dress. She looked absolutely stunning! After getting ready with her girls, Alexis and Joel had their first look at the Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne. It was so sweet! So many smiles and laughs. We were so happy to capture these moments. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Landmark Gardens! It was so hot this day. Not enough to hinder the day, but enough to make one of the bridesmaids (also the groom’s sister) pass out during the ceremony! Luckily it happened at a point in the ceremony where people could easily get to her and she could be helped. Alexis and Joel continued the ceremony with their foot washing ceremony, a very unique and different tradition!
After the very hot outdoor ceremony, family and friends headed over to the (air conditioned and indoor) reception at the Orchid Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne. Each member of the bridal party had a special entrance with all kinds of dance moves. The best man speech was very notable. He had nothing but kind words to say about Joel. By the end of it, we wanted the groom to be OUR best friend – what a guy! After cake cutting, dancing, and toasts, we headed outside to get some epic sunset photos. These two ended the night with a beautiful sparkler send off.
This was such a fun wedding to photograph (even with the super hot weather)! Thanks Alexis and Joel for a fun day. We wish you guys the happiest marriage!

We had so much at Alexis and Matt’s Cleveland wedding! We love our job. When we get to travel for our couples, we have even more fun. Cleveland was absolutely gorgeous too. Check out all the photos here (CLICK ME)! These two met at Purdue University. She was in a sorority; He was in a fraternity. The rest is history! Now they reside in Cleveland Ohio together.
Alexis spent the morning getting ready with her girls where there was champagne, laughter, and lots of love spread all around. Alexis put on her beautiful, strapless lace gown with her mom in the other room. She then walked out to her bridesmaids where they all oooh’d and ahh’d at their beautiful friend on her big day! The bridesmaids wore long, powder blue gowns, all slightly different styles, and the groomsmen wore fitted navy suits. Needless to say, everyone looked awesome! Alexis then had a first look with her father where there was some sweet selfie action and some gift exchanging!
Alexis and Matt got married at the gorgeous Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Cleveland. After the ceremony, all of their guests lined up on the steps outside the church. They cheered for the newlyweds as they walked hand-in-hand together as husband and wife. After the ceremony, Alexis, Matt and their awesome bridal party (along with their awesome photographers) left to take some photos! We went over by the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland for some pictures by the water. We then traveled to the Italian Cultural Gardens for more photos – it was beautiful! There were so many flowers and fun colors. Not to mention the weather was perfect. Not too warm, not too cool.
The reception was at the gorgeous Shoreby Club in Cleveland. The venue overlooked Lake Eerie where there was a stunning rocky coastline – looked like it was straight out of a volcano. These guys went all out too! Everything was beautiful, from the table settings to the venue tent itself! After toasts, cake cutting, and some awesome dancing, we took Alexis and Matt out for some epic sunset pictures. We’re not joking when we say it looked like we were on the coast of Hawaii! That rocky coastline was absolutely breathtaking.
We loved our trip out to Cleveland and the opportunity to take pictures of Alexis and Matt’s big day. Thanks for the fun day! Hope we captured your wedding day exactly how you hoped!

Amara and Jay’s wedding was so sweet! We have known these guys since high school, so we were so excited to be their photographers at their downtown Fort Wayne Empyrean wedding!
Family is very important to Amara and Jay. It seemed every moment of the day somehow included a family member, making it a very, very special day. The bridal party included family only and one very close friend! These two wanted a fun day – and it was! Everyone danced their way up and down the aisle and all the way through the reception. It seemed the dancing never stopped… and we were SO okay with that!
The ceremony was very sweet – as family members walked down the aisle, each carried a flower to place in vases near the altar in remembrance of family members who passed away and could not join them on this special day. During the vows and exchange of rings, Amara gifted Jay with a completely custom comic book telling their story. These two are the sweetest nerdy couple we’ve worked with, and it was so cool watching them make promises together and celebrate with an awesome party.
The forecast was not looking the best going into the wedding day, however, we had the perfect window of dry weather for pictures outside! After pictures of the bridal party outside, we headed upstairs to the top floor of the Empyrean for the reception!
Speaking of reception, WHAT A PARTY! After hearing a very touching prayer done by Amara’s brother and eating a delicious Empyrean meal, guests enjoyed the dance floor…. All evening long! We saw a side of Jay we had never seen before. Any time we had spoken to Jay in the past, he seemed like a quiet, reserved person. While this may have appeared to be true, let us tell you that this guy is an animal on the dance floor! In fact, nearly every guest was on their feet and dancing the whole night. For those who didn’t want to dance as much, Amara and Jay provided board games at every table and an entire other room filled with board games to entertain other guests. It was awesome seeing all the personal touches Amara and Jay put into their wedding! During the reception, Amara’s brother sang at the reception. It was a very special moment for their whole family and made for a memorable day!

Because their wedding day was at the tailend of Fort Wayne’s Three Rivers Festival, Amara, Jay, and guests were treated to a beautiful firework show at the end of the night. We loved being a part of Amara and Jay’s Empyrean wedding. Best of luck to you both!

Oh, we are SO excited to share this one with you. Presenting Emerald and Nick, two of our newest newlyweds! We couldn’t wait for this Clear lake wedding, just like we couldn’t wait for their Clear Lake engagement session (CLICK ME)! This lake house wedding was to die for! Just look at the photos. We were Nick’s sisters’ wedding photographers too, so when we got the opportunity to take pictures at Emerald and Nick’s wedding, we were thrilled! We love when we get to see families again and work with awesome people.
Before we get in their awesome wedding, we’ve got to brag about our bride and groom really quick… These two know how to dress, as they are both passionate about fashion. It’s always so cool when our grooms wear something outside of the box. Nick had probably the coolest suit I had ever seen – Just look at it! It had a floral design on top of an already well designed navy suit – We’re kind of obsessed with his look! Of course though, no groom (or really awesome suit) can outshine the beauty of a bride on the wedding day! Emerald wore a beautiful satin and tulle mermaid gown with a deep, sweetheart neckline. It had a dainty jeweled belt with matching jeweled shoulder straps and a three tiered skirt bottom – She had custom touches added to her gown to make her dress perfect for their big day. These guys had a slam dunk for wardrobe. Needless to say, we loved it!
Nick and his groomsmen arrived by boat before the ceremony. Emerald and her bridesmaids spent the entire morning getting ready at Nick’s Family’s Clear Lake home, where the ceremony would later take place. As everyone was finishing up getting ready, Nick and his groomsmen arrived by boat to his family home. We took some family pictures outside and then it was ceremony time!
The ceremony was so beautiful! Since it was at Nick’s family lake home, the ceremony was right by the beach on their property: guests had a view of the beautiful couple and the beautiful lake. Nick hand made the wooden arch arbor used during the ceremony – it was so cool! Something really special about Emerald and Nick’s ceremony were their ring bearers… there were two of them, and they were dogs! Even they got to feel pretty on their owners’ big day – they wore floral rings around their necks. It was adorable! The two exchanged vows, kissed, and were married! We loved this Clear Lake wedding.
After taking some family portraits and getting group shots of the whole bridal party, we all hopped on their pontoon boat to head to the reception across the lake! It was kind of scary though because we had a lot of people on the boat – almost sunk! The reception was at the Clear Lake Yacht club, where everyone danced the night away! We even got to hear one of Nick’s own songs! We so enjoyed being a part of your wedding, Emerald and Nick. We hope you enjoy your photos for the years to come!

Hey everyone! We had a blast at Brooke and Matt’s wedding. We enjoyed their engagement session so much, but somehow we enjoyed their wedding even more! Click here to view their awesome engagement photos…
These two held their wedding at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. In fact, not only did everyone get ready at the Coliseum, but the ceremony and reception were there too! While we love jumping around all over town with our couples, we also love when everything is in one place. It makes things simple for the day and seems to make everyone a little more relaxed – including us!
Brooke’s bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses while the groomsmen wore light grey suits. Everyone looked amazing head to toe thanks to the Red Stiletto and their fabulous hair and makeup team! Bouquets and other floral arrangements for the day were hand made by none other than Trista Rose from Rose’s bouquets!
Brooke and Matt’s ceremony was sweet and made the atmosphere for the day relaxed. These two just wanted a gathering of their close friends and family to celebrate their big day. This definitely added to the love and closeness of it all! An old friend of Matt’s, who is a baseball coach, was the officiant of their wedding! The message was for sure unique and made for a memorable ceremony! It was great to see Matt’s family for the second time too! We were her sister’s wedding photographers as well, so we had a blast all over again!
We went outside after the ceremony for some photos of the bridal party. While this may not sound like a big deal, you should know that it was ridiculously hot outside on this particularly weekend – probably our hottest weekend yet! Want to know the best part about it? Nobody complained. Everyone was just happy to be celebrating Brooke and Matt – It was awesome. A big thanks to Summit City Rentals for the chiavari chairs during our group shots. These two had a large bridal party so the chairs were great to have! After snapping some awesome shots, we headed back inside for the reception. There were some funny toasts, yummy cake cutting, and some sick dance moves. Alomar Entertainment provided all the tunes for the evening, ending the night with dancing and celebration.
We have loved getting to know you both through the process of your engagement and wedding. We hope you guys have a great life together and enjoy your photos for years to come. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!

Meet one of our lovely couples, Brenna and Brandon! These two had their wedding and reception at the Empyrean of downtown Fort Wayne. This was for sure a daddy-daughter kind of day. Brenna had many sweet moments with her father. After being helped into her dress by her mother and bridesmaids, Brenna stepped out to see her father. This first look was one of the sweetest we’ve captured. When her father turned around, he was just radiating with pride and joy – his little girl was getting married! It was a very touching and emotional first look and we were so happy to capture it. Seriously, just look at that smile (see photos below)!
After one touching first look came another! This time with her groom, Brandon. Brandon waited at the altar where they would later be wed. Brenna walked down the aisle towards him, tapped gently on his shoulder, and the two locked eyes. Brandon was so happy! He was in complete awe at the beauty of his bride. And hey, so were we! She looked so beautiful on their big day!
After all the tears and the first looks, we hit the town! We went to all the hotspot locations of downtown Fort Wayne with their bridal party… and had a blast while doing it! After taking some sweet pictures, we all headed up to the Empyrean once again for the wedding. Brenna’s father gave her away, Brenna and Brandon did a soil ceremony together symbolizing unity and the joining of families, and the two became husband and wife! The best part of this job is seeing so many beautiful beginnings. It’s the best!
After taking some more photos, the reception began. With that, so did the speeches, cake cutting, and dancing. Brenna’s father had a wonderful toast – I wish I had gotten it on video, but I was too busy taking pictures! Brenna and her father had a special surprise for the guests – a choreographed first dance. It was unique and definitely a memorable moment for all in attendance. We loved being a part of this awesome day and wish you guys a happy marriage. Enjoy life together!
