Meet Vanessa and Brent! It was pure fate when these two met for the first time. Vanessa walked into the car dealership that Brent owns looking to buy a new car, and Brent’s salesman charm convinced her to make a deal. She drove off with the car and Brent’s number. We first met this great couple during their engagement session (see their engagement album here) and couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding as well!
The bride and groom chose the Empyrean in Fort Wayne for their wedding. The day began getting ready at the venue. The bride and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done while dressed in luxurious matching robes. Brent and his groomsmen stayed relaxed as they competed in a few rounds of ping-pong while they waited for the ladies to finish glamorizing. Vanessa’s gift to her future husband was an elegant watch, chosen specifically so Brent wouldn’t wear his less-than-formal Apple watch on the big day. Attached to the watch was a playful note saying “don’t be late.”
Dressed in varying shades of teal and blue Vanessa’s bridal party led the way to the altar. Since the family is especially important to both Vanessa and Brent, Vanessa’s brother, Father Mario officiated the wedding. He was overwhelmed with happiness at the first look of his sister in her wedding dress. Making the day truly a family affair, McKenzie, the daughter of our bride and groom served as flower girl. It was an emotional ceremony filled with love and tears of joy.
The reception was also held at the Empyrean. The venue’s large windows gave a wonderful view of downtown Fort Wayne as guests danced the night away. The couple took some romantic photos underneath a giant flower ring with the stunning evening sky as their backdrop. This wedding was filled with love, laughter, and celebration. The whole event was breathtaking and a pleasure to photograph.

Meet the lovely Sarah & Joe! The two met while attending classes at Trine University and really hit it off! We loved their engagement session at the cottage at Clear Lake (check out the photos here!), so we were even more excited for their wedding ceremony and following reception at Auburn Indiana (see their wedding album here).
Sarah and Joe’s ceremony was held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church located in Downtown Fort Wayne. The day began with everyone getting ready at the church. The guys had the upstairs while the girls prepared downstairs – we couldn’t risk spoiling the first look of Sarah walking down the aisle! The bridesmaids all looked beautiful in long, lilac-colored dresses, and the groomsmen were paired nicely in handsome, light-gray suits accented with dark purple ties. Guests arrived and signed in on the couple’s unique photo book before entering into the gorgeous sanctuary. The architecture blended with the happy emotions of all the family and friends made for a truly beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony, we took the newlyweds and their bridal party all around Fort Wayne, capturing their happiness, excitement and love at some of the most wonderful locations, including Lakeside Park, Rose Gardens and more in Downtown Fort Wayne. The weather forecast for the day wasn’t looking optimal, with rain, rain, and more rain, but thankfully it ended up going right around us! We ended up having perfect wedding day weather – sunny with some clouds.
Once we got all of the bridal party photos we wanted, we headed to Auburn, Indiana for the awesome reception! Sarah and Joe held their reception at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, a decision influenced by Joe’s fascination with building cars. It was truly a unique location, filled with restored, vintage cars and grand architecture (how awesome is that staircase?)! They ditched the traditional cake-cutting, opting instead to provide guests with delicious ice cream sundaes. There was a table with vanilla ice cream and tons of yummy toppings to create the perfect sundae – it was a definite hit!
Sarah and Joe’s wedding day was one filled with dancing, laughing, and celebrating. The beautiful ceremony followed by a unique reception at the ACD Museum was a wedding to remember. We are so happy to have been a part of your big day, Sarah and Joe, and appreciate the opportunity to capture your memories that will last a lifetime.
Meet Katie and Logan, one of our recent newlyweds of our 2018 wedding season. These two high school (now Boilermakers) sweethearts were each other’s first loves. It was so sweet to hear how their love grew and matured to get them to their big wedding day. We had a blast with them on their engagement photos too! Check out (here) to read about their engagement session (We loved the snow that day)!
Katie and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done at her childhood home: They wore matching floral robes (and matching smiles)! Katie’s little family dog was their at the house too spreading wedding day happiness. The final getting ready moment before leaving for the ceremony was getting into her dress. Katie’s mother buttoned her into her wedding gown while surrounded by all of her bridesmaids and special people in her life.
Their ceremony was held at the First Assembly of God Church. Beforehand, Katie had a first look with her dad. She gave him a pocket watch with “I loved You First,” engraved in the back. It was a very special moment for Katie and her dad as she is the only daughter in her family. When Katie walked down the aisle with her dad, you could see the love and emotion on everyone’s faces. It was such an awesome moment to witness – we love capturing the emotion of ceremonies!
After the ceremony, we took some sweet pics outside of the church and went to the reception at The War Memorial Coliseum. These two danced the night away, cut the cake, threw a bouquet (courtesy of Rose’s Bouquets, a wedding only Florist in Fort Wayne), and had a great night celebrating with friends and family. We were even able to sneak Katie and Logan outside the Coliseum to shoot some epic sunset shots. We loved being a part of your wedding, Katie and Logan. Thank you so much for the awesome day. Good luck to your new marriage!

Meet Hailey and David! Mr. and Mrs. Beer! These two CrossFit lovers married on May 12th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. The bride and groom wrote love letters to each other before to the ceremony, but wanted their first look to be the grand moment when Hailey walked down the aisle. The reception was at DuPont Downs, a banquet hall in Fort Wayne which was formerly a greenhouse! The former greenhouse added a softness to the photos, which matched amazingly with the industrial look Hailey wanted. Hailey and her bridal party got ready at one of her bridesmaids’ homes in Fort Wayne. She had her hair and makeup done surrounded by all the special women in her life, including her two junior bridesmaids. They all wore matching floral robes while getting ready until it was time to get dressed! Hailey’s mother helped her into her dress, a special mother-daughter moment we love to capture. The groomsmen wore slim navy suits with floral bow ties: the bow ties were pretty sweet.
Hailey told us that she wanted an industrial look for her photos. We searched long and hard to find the perfect space… and we did! The weather was looking questionable leading up to the wedding so it was great to have an indoor space for photos just in case the weather turned! Hailey and David, we have loved getting to know you guys through your engagement photos and wedding. Best wishes for your new life together! Make sure to check out how those industrial photos turned out… pretty sweet, huh?

Drummmm Roll Please! Meet Allyson & Riley Heller! This beautiful couple decided to do things a little different than most and it was amazing! Allyson and Riley decided to have a backyard ceremony at their family estate for only close family and friends making it super intimate and special. They then had a gorgeous tented dinner party with the close friends and family prepared by the flipping amaze-balls Chef Alex Robertson. You will also see from all the photos the incredible details that Allyson included by enlisting the help of talented people like Rose’s Bouquets and All Occasions.
After the delicious dinner party, everyone jumped on a trolley to head to the reception at Parkview baseball field, where 200 more of Allyson and Riley’s friends and family would join them to party the night away. Oh but before we got on the trolley I talked Allyson into letting me take a photo of her and Riley in the pool, these guys were the best! But I think what topped this wedding for me was when Allyson & Riley did kart-wheels in the outfield of the baseball diamond!
This wedding will defiantly go down in the record books as one of our favorite weddings of all times! Make sure you click the link before to check out the rest of their amazing wedding day!

Meet the newest Mr and Mrs DeMato! Kyle and Elizabeth were such a blast getting to know over the last year. They got married at the beautiful St Vincents Catholic church in northern Fort Wayne. We then drove around town taking some sweet photos as you can see. We then wound up at one of our personal favorite reception venues here in Fort Wayne, the historic Baker Street Station in downtown Fort Wayne.
It was at the reception that Kyle, in my opinion, “leveled up” and got everyone in the entire train station to come dance to his favorite song! It was truly an amazing night, especially since we were able to convince Elizabeth to be a bit daring and the results are the very last photo in this post (totally worth it).
