This blog post is extra special because it’s about my awesome sister, Natalie! Oh… and her now Husband Tim (we love him). Natalie and Tim are wedding photographers too – guess it runs in the family! They live in the Myrtle Beach area and do stunning beach weddings. These two decided to get married in Fort Wayne because the majority of the friends and family (us) live here! This wedding day went a little bit different for Corynn and I since we were both in the wedding day events! Metea Park was a beautiful location for Natalie and Tim’s lovely fall wedding day.
We met up with Natalie at the hotel while she was getting ready with her bridal party! Corynn helped with hair, makeup, getting dressed, and more! Everyone looked stellar and ready for the big day! After we got all the getting ready pictures of the girls, we headed over to Metea Park to meet up with Tim and his groomsmen. After putting on jackets, pinning boutonnieres, and straightening bow ties, it was time for Natalie to get in her dress! Our mom and Corynn helped Natalie into her dress! Then Natalie’s bridesmaids (made up of mostly my sisters) helped with the details. After a sweet first touch between Natalie and Tim, it was ceremony time! The two performed a sweet sand ceremony during the wedding, kissed, and we’re married! After some lengthy family portraits, it was time for some pictures of just Nat and Tim. Then it was dinner time and dancing!
There were some hiccups in the day just like every other wedding, but it was still an amazing day filled with family! We loved getting to celebrate Natalie and Tim on their big day- These guys were just meant to be! Can’t wait for you guys to move back to Fort Wayne some day!

Samantha and Josh are married! It was a beautiful fall day for a wedding. Everything about their big day was calm, fun, and unique to them as a family. Here are some more details about their special day and photos to match! Just wait until you see pictures of their adorable 1 year old son…
The whole day was at Pokagon State Park and the beautiful Potawatomi Inn on Lake James. The trees were already turning colors and the air was chilly – perfect weather for Samatha! She didn’t want a hot wedding day. Samantha was one of the best brides we’ve had the pleasure to work with – laid back, not worried about every detail of the day, and just happy to be around the people she loves. That said, we thought it was so special when Samantha got excited about her wedding dress. She LOVED it. It was sweet to see her “bride out” about this one-of-kind detail! After getting ready and spending some time with her bridesmaids and adorable flower girl, Samantha and Josh had there first look (in the beautiful autumn woods, of course). It was as sweet as it can get folks, especially when they brought their 1-year old son Liam into the moment. Gah. This made us miss our babies that were with our family for the day!
After a super sweet first look and some bridal party photos, it was ceremony time! These guys got married on the patio of the Potawatomi Inn overlooking the lake – It was beautiful. After Samantha walked down the aisle, she and Josh completed a sand ceremony to symbolize their unity in marriage. The two kissed and were married! We shot some family portraits after the ceremony than took Samantha and Josh for the most epic sunset portrait on the dock. It was chilly, but these two persevered and stuck with us! What happened next? Reception time!
Once everyone was seated in the reception hall at the Inn, Samantha, Josh, and their bridal party made their entrances! There were succulent themed cupcakes and little succulent wedding favors for guests – they were so cute! The night included sweet toasts, yummy cake (the kids were very excited about that), and a lot of dancing (the kids were also very excited about this). We loved having the opportunity to capture all of the moments of your wedding day. We wish you guys the happiest marriage!

Grace and Aaron are married! It seems like just yesterday when we were at Valparaiso University shooting their engagement session. Check out our other blog post to read all about the fun time we had with them at Valparaiso (CLICK ME)!
We’d like to start this by saying a what a pleasure it has been to work with Aaron and Grace. Everything about the day was sweet, nice, quirky, and special to them. Both of their families were so genuine and welcoming. Needless to say, we had a blast shooting their big day and couldn’t be more happy with how their photos came out. Here are all the sweet highlights of their wedding day with pictures and more!
The whole day started off awesome. We arrived at the church and all of sudden, Grace pulls up with her dad in his bright red corvette! Talk about an epic arrival. While grace entered the church at a different door (couldn’t spoil that first look down the aisle), Aaron greeted his family members before the ceremony. Boutineers and corsages were also passed out at this time. Grace twirled and smiled on her way into the church. First, this made for some adorable photos and secondly, showed us how fun loving and awesome this day was going to be. Grace’s bridesmaids wore beautiful sage green dresses – They finished their wedding day look with low, curly buns and smokey eye makeup. At the church, Grace added the veil and some accessories to her beautiful ensemble. All flowers for the day were provided by Rose’s Bouquets, a Fort Wayne wedding-only florist (and they did a stunning job on Grace and Aaron’s flowers). Aaron laughed and hung out with his groomsmen and family before the day’s events began – Nothing but excitement from both Grace and Aaron. Oh! We can’t leave out the fact that there were several “dabs” throughout the day – one of the many fun sides we saw while working with these these two.
The ceremony was held at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. After bow ties were straightened, bouquets distributed, and dresses fluffed, it was ceremony time! One by one, Grace’s bridesmaids walked down the aisle and Aaron and his groomsmen got in position. Then Grace and her father made their walk towards the altar. The ceremony sweet simply because of the amount of love Grace and Aaron exuded. This ceremony in particular had an interesting metaphor of ships and captains that kept us hooked in a listening the whole time – We had never heard a ceremony quite like this in our 11 years as wedding photographers. Unique and fun, just like Grace and Aaron! After the ceremony, we did family portraits.
We were watching the weather all day – It was supposed to rain, but it kept getting pushed back so we were able to go to downtown Fort Wayne and take bridal party photos. We were so thankful for the change of weather! After photos downtown, we all headed to the reception! The reception was at the beautiful Fort Wayne Country Club. These two engineers know how to party! Just as we got inside after taking some pictures at the country club, rain started to pour… talk about good timing. After everyone made it inside to be seated, the bridal party made their fun entrances. There were toasts, a Debrands chocolate giveaway, a rainbow after the storms, cake, dancing, really really good food, laughs, and more laughs. We had such a fun day and evening spent with these two and their families. It was an honor taking photos on your guys’ wedding day – We hope you enjoy them for a lifetime!

P.S. Can we be best friends? Cool, thanks.
Ashlee and Skiler are married! We are very excited to share all their photos with you guys. We had the awesome opportunity to shoot at Union 12, a new wedding venue in Columbia City! It is gorgeous and perfectly set up to host wedding needs. One location all day? Our favorite thing on wedding days! You can check out Ashlee and Skiler’s engagement blog and photos here (CLICK ME)! Now for the wedding details…
We had so much fun shooting at Union 12, but we had even more fun taking pictures of these two! Everyone got ready on site – There is a little farm house that is available for the bridal party to prepare for the day. With no worries about traveling to and from location to location, you can imagine the stress this can take off the wedding day! After their hair and makeup was all done, Ashlee was helped into her dress by her mom. The all-lace dress had jeweled details and buttoned closures up the entire back, making it the perfect wedding day look for Ashlee. Ashlee’s bridesmaids wore beautiful wine colored dresses adding the perfect pop of color to the day. Skiler and his groomsmen wore awesome navy suits with red ties, matching the girls perfectly. Everything was tied together with beautiful flowers and greenery by Be Married Events.
After a sweet first look with dad, it was time for Ashlee and Skiler to read their letters to each other. Without looking, the two exchanged letters! Shortly after this sweet moment, it was time for Skiler to see his bride! The two had their first look together in the fields behind Union 12. After taking some sweet shots of the couple and some rocking bridal party pictures, we headed inside for the ceremony! The ceremony was on the covered patio overlooking the beautiful fields of Union 12. The weather was perfect – Slightly overcast, breezy, with a bit of sunshine too! The two exchanged vows in front of their friends and family and we’re married! The reception was a party. After a yummy dinner provided by Shigs and Pit, there were some funny toasts, cake cutting, and some sweet first dances!
We loved having the opportunity to work with this amazing couple. We knew from our engagement session with Ashlee and Skiler that they were going to have a super fun wedding. Thank for trusting us with your special day – We loved it! Best wishes to you guys.

Erica and Austin are married! We had so much fun at their wedding. Just wait until you see this beautiful and sweet couple on their big day. You can view all of their photos here (CLICK ME)! Now for the details…
Erica and Austin spent their whole day in Roanoke, Indiana. All of the events for the day, getting ready, the ceremony, and reception, were at Joseph Decuis restaurant, an absolutely beautiful venue (with amazing food). It was a lovely day – We had gorgeous fall weather and sunshine. It could not have been more perfect! To top off the great weather, there was a beautiful orange and pink sunset at the end of the evening.
Everyone got ready at the restaurant. Erica and her bridesmaids wore cute, colored tank tops with “bride”, “maid of honor”, and “bridesmaid” on them. After taking some photos with the bridesmaids, flower girls, and ring bearer, it was time to put on that white dress! Erica’s mom helped her into her beautiful, a-line dress. It had a sassy tiered bottom with tons of layers of fabric. There was even some special detail with the straps on the back of the dress. Erica’s bridesmaids wore beautiful plum purple dresses in matching styles. They all looked like movie stars! Shortly after capturing the final touches of getting ready, Erica had a first look with her dad just outside the restaurant. We will forever love capturing these special kind of moments.
Ceremony time! These two got married outside of the restaurant on the patio, surrounded by family, friends, and beautiful gardens! The two kissed, and just like that, they were married! Afterwards, we walked all around downtown Roanoke for photos. It is such a fun and unique little town for photos – gardens, brick alleys, and colorful walls.
Dinner was spectacular. This was no ordinary dinner. Joseph Decuis is second to none – You truly get the farm to table experience at this restaurant. Better yet, dinner was held in the atrium – a beautiful greenhouse-like dining room. After the outstanding meal (still having dreams about the food), everyone headed outside on the patio to party! There were toasts, some cake cutting (and eating), and lots and lots of dancing. We were even able to sneak out Erica and Austin long enough to capture them with the beautiful sunset!
The patio had beautiful lights strung up all over the place, making the whole night feel extra romantic and special – and it was. Erica and Austin had some really unique elements in their wedding day. Austin’s family is from Colorado, so they had quite a few guests travel a long way for this big event. They even served a special whiskey from Colorado at the reception- Stranahan’s whiskey (it’s Austin’s favorite). We ended the night with delicious cake by our favorite bakery in Fort Wayne, Sassy Cakes!
These two were a blast to work with. From their engagement session to their wedding, we could tell these two were special! Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day. We loved capturing it!

Emily and Max’s wedding was jaw-droppingly beautiful! Don’t read this post until you read about their beautiful city engagement session and see all of their photos (CLICK ME)! Max and Emily’s wedding ceremony and reception were at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club, a beautiful Fort Wayne venue for weddings and other events – We loved having the opportunity to take photos in this gorgeous setting for Emily and Max’s big day!
The day started early for Emily and her bridesmaids, spending the morning getting ready in one of the club’s cottages. Red Stiletto Hair and Makeup did a wonderful job creating the perfect wedding day look for Emily and her bridesmaids. After Emily’s bridesmaids put on their dresses, it was time for Emily to be helped into her dress. If you had read our blog post about Emily and Max’s engagement session, you would know that they live in New York City. Can you guess where Emily got her wedding dress? Yes, Kleinfeld Bridal! This gorgeous pleated gown had most beautiful beading and detail – simple, elegant, and show-stopping. Emily’s mom helped her into her dress while surrounded by her bridesmaids. Just like that, it was time for the first look with Max!
Right outside the entrance of the clubhouse, Max patiently awaited the arrival of his beautiful bride and partner of many years. Emily walked right up to Max, tapped on his shoulder, and he saw Emily in her beautiful white dress for the first time! After a sweet embrace, the two waited inside with their family and bridal party for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony was under the beautiful covered patio area of the Club house. There was greenery and flowers hanging from the ceiling, on the cake, at every table, and just about everywhere else too – All hand-arranged and hand-crafted by Rose’s Bouquets, a wedding only florist. There was even a beautiful floral arch hung where the ceremony took place. After the super sweet ceremony officiated by Max’s dad, we headed out on the course for a few rounds of golf! Just kidding. We actually headed to the green for some pictures!
Shortly after photos of the bridal party and family portraits, the bridal party made their grand entrance to the dining room where guests cheered for their arrival! The was a funny dual toast by Max’s two brothers, a sweet maid of honor toast by Emily’s long-time college roommate and best friend, and an additional toast by a groomsmen who knows both Emily and Max. After toasts, dinner, and some sweet cake cutting, family and guests headed out on the covered patio for the dancing!
This was such a sweet wedding to be a part of. We loved having the opportunity to capture Emily and Max’s love in New York City and in Fort Wayne, their two homes. Best of wishes to you guys!
