Erica & Austin // Joseph Decuis Wedding

Erica and Austin are married! We had so much fun at their wedding. Just wait until you see this beautiful and sweet couple on their big day. You can view all of their photos here (CLICK ME)! Now for the details…

Erica and Austin spent their whole day in Roanoke, Indiana. All of the events for the day, getting ready, the ceremony, and reception, were at Joseph Decuis restaurant, an absolutely beautiful venue (with amazing food). It was a lovely day – We had gorgeous fall weather and sunshine. It could not have been more perfect! To top off the great weather, there was a beautiful orange and pink sunset at the end of the evening.

Everyone got ready at the restaurant. Erica and her bridesmaids wore cute, colored tank tops with “bride”, “maid of honor”, and “bridesmaid” on them. After taking some photos with the bridesmaids, flower girls, and ring bearer, it was time to put on that white dress! Erica’s mom helped her into her beautiful, a-line dress. It had a sassy tiered bottom with tons of layers of fabric. There was even some special detail with the straps on the back of the dress. Erica’s bridesmaids wore beautiful plum purple dresses in matching styles. They all looked like movie stars! Shortly after capturing the final touches of getting ready, Erica had a first look with her dad just outside the restaurant. We will forever love capturing these special kind of moments.

Ceremony time! These two got married outside of the restaurant on the patio, surrounded by family, friends, and beautiful gardens! The two kissed, and just like that, they were married! Afterwards, we walked all around downtown Roanoke for photos. It is such a fun and unique little town for photos – gardens, brick alleys, and colorful walls.

Dinner was spectacular. This was no ordinary dinner. Joseph Decuis is second to none – You truly get the farm to table experience at this restaurant. Better yet, dinner was held in the atrium – a beautiful greenhouse-like dining room. After the outstanding meal (still having dreams about the food), everyone headed outside on the patio to party! There were toasts, some cake cutting (and eating), and lots and lots of dancing. We were even able to sneak out Erica and Austin long enough to capture them with the beautiful sunset!

The patio had beautiful lights strung up all over the place, making the whole night feel extra romantic and special – and it was. Erica and Austin had some really unique elements in their wedding day. Austin’s family is from Colorado, so they had quite a few guests travel a long way for this big event. They even served a special whiskey from Colorado at the reception- Stranahan’s whiskey (it’s Austin’s favorite). We ended the night with delicious cake by our favorite bakery in Fort Wayne, Sassy Cakes!

These two were a blast to work with. From their engagement session to their wedding, we could tell these two were special! Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day. We loved capturing it!

Cheers,
-Dustin & Corynn
