Sarah & Joe // Auburn Wedding Photography

Meet the lovely Sarah & Joe! The two met while attending classes at Trine University and really hit it off! We loved their engagement session at the cottage at Clear Lake (check out the photos here!), so we were even more excited for their wedding ceremony and following reception at Auburn Indiana (see their wedding album here).

Sarah and Joe’s ceremony was held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church located in Downtown Fort Wayne. The day began with everyone getting ready at the church. The guys had the upstairs while the girls prepared downstairs – we couldn’t risk spoiling the first look of Sarah walking down the aisle! The bridesmaids all looked beautiful in long, lilac-colored dresses, and the groomsmen were paired nicely in handsome, light-gray suits accented with dark purple ties. Guests arrived and signed in on the couple’s unique photo book before entering into the gorgeous sanctuary. The architecture blended with the happy emotions of all the family and friends made for a truly beautiful ceremony.

After the ceremony, we took the newlyweds and their bridal party all around Fort Wayne, capturing their happiness, excitement and love at some of the most wonderful locations, including Lakeside Park, Rose Gardens and more in Downtown Fort Wayne. The weather forecast for the day wasn’t looking optimal, with rain, rain, and more rain, but thankfully it ended up going right around us! We ended up having perfect wedding day weather – sunny with some clouds.

Once we got all of the bridal party photos we wanted, we headed to Auburn, Indiana for the awesome reception! Sarah and Joe held their reception at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, a decision influenced by Joe’s fascination with building cars. It was truly a unique location, filled with restored, vintage cars and grand architecture (how awesome is that staircase?)! They ditched the traditional cake-cutting, opting instead to provide guests with delicious ice cream sundaes. There was a table with vanilla ice cream and tons of yummy toppings to create the perfect sundae – it was a definite hit!

Sarah and Joe’s wedding day was one filled with dancing, laughing, and celebrating. The beautiful ceremony followed by a unique reception at the ACD Museum was a wedding to remember. We are so happy to have been a part of your big day, Sarah and Joe, and appreciate the opportunity to capture your memories that will last a lifetime.
