Alissa & Jeff’s Colorado wedding was absolutely stunning! We had the unbelievable opportunity to travel to Telluride, Colorado, to photograph our sweet couple. We are so in love with the photos, and can’t wait for you to see more!
These two were originally supposed to have their wedding last spring, but similar to many recent newlyweds had to alter their schedule due to the pandemic. After making a difficult decision to change their plans, Alissa & Jeff decided to travel somewhere beautiful to capture their wedding photos… so, to Telluride, Colorado, we went!
Everyone loves a good travel story, right? Apparently, our flight times changed, which we didn’t realize… we showed up five hours before our couple expected us, so we took an adventure and hitchhiked with a stranger halfway to Telluride – what an experience! Once we made it there safely, it was time to get wedding-ready and start our session.
Upon arrival, we climbed a gorgeous mountain with Alissa & Jeff. They were such great sports throughout the entire photoshoot! The scenery in the mountains was unreal and so worth the climb. We continued to hike around the mountain and take photos in different areas to get all the angles of the stunning landscape! This was the perfect occasion to capture some above-ground drone photos of our fabulous couple and the magnificent backdrops.
We then photographed Alissa & Jeff in front of a lovely waterfall. The photos look wonderful and our couple looks at ease, but it was a pretty complex task! The waterfall was crazy loud and misted outwards, traveling toward our bride and groom. Just as we said before, they handled it like champs! They were still willing to sit and pose for photos (even with getting their wedding outfits a bit wet from the waterfall mist) and we are so thankful they did. Their photos with the waterfall are just spectacular!
Next, we of course had to get those beloved sunset photos. We love a good sunset photo session in general, but especially with mountains in the background! The colors were so vibrant and enchanting.
This area was exceptional to photograph in. One minute we were in front of a waterfall, the next we were standing in the snow, and then, in the gorgeous mountain landscape. The diversity of backgrounds completely blew us away – we can’t even believe some of these photos are real!
To end the night, we chose a more low-key setting – with milkshakes and burgers! We had the best time with Alissa & Jeff and are so grateful they chose us to capture this special life event. We are obsessing over these photos of their Colorado wedding. You won’t want to miss these!
