Welcome 2020! It is our privilege to introduce our first Mr. and Mrs. of the new year. Beth and Ryan got married on a beautiful January day in Fort Wayne. You may remember these two from their adorable summer engagement, but if not, click here (CLICK ME)! Now for all the sweet details (and photos) from this beautiful Fort Wayne Winter Wedding…
We met Beth through her mom! She has been our dental hygienist for years and years. Over all this time, we had heard so much about this valedictorian daughter and about how awesome and talented she is. So when we found out that Beth was engaged, we just knew we had to be a part of their wedding story.
Beth and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready at a family friend’s salon, Shalorton & Co. Hair Design. The salon owner was super nice and accommodating for us, whether we needed to move around some furniture or adjust the lights for the perfect photo. While getting ready here, all of the girls brushed their teeth and smiled for the camera (they just had to do it for Beth’s dental hygienist mom)! After finishing hair and makeup, everyone headed over to the Maplewood Mennonite Church where Beth and Ryan would soon be married.
Beth put on her dress at the church with her mom and bridesmaids. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful dark red dresses while Beth, of course, wore a beautiful white dress full of pretty lace detail. After Beth’s bridal look was complete, she had a first look with her dad. Then it was ceremony time!
Guests found their seats and the wedding began. Parents were escorted down the aisle, then the wedding party, and of course, the sweet little flower girl. Beth and her dad were next! They met Ryan at the end of the aisle, where Beth’s dad gave her away. Beth and Ryan exchanged vows, rings, sang worship songs with the friends and family, kissed, and were married!
Right after the ceremony, we headed to one of our favorite spots in Fort Wayne for some portraits of Beth and Ryan and their wedding party. Usually we take family portraits immediately following the ceremony (when there is no first look), but because it’s January and it gets dark so quickly, we started with portraits instead. We got some photos of them with their wedding party before the sun went down, then headed to Purdue University of Fort Wayne for more portraits. It started to snow at the end of our time here, so we were so happy to capture them with a little snow!
Once we all were at the Don Halls Guest House for the reception, we took family photos in the beautiful hearth room. The reception hall was nice and spacious, and full of charm, history, and character. Their were lights strung across the whole room which added so much magic to the space. There were fun toasts, yummy desserts (cake, cookies, donuts, and more), and lots of dancing. This was one beautiful winter wedding and an awesome way to kick of our 2020 wedding season!
We loved getting to photograph Beth, Ryan, and their friends and family. It was a beautiful day full of love and celebration. Thank you for letting us capture your big day! We hope you enjoy your photos for years to come!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
