Meet Rebecca and Joseph! We had a blast getting to know these two at their family lake cottage on Syracuse lake! Read on to learn more about their sweet sunny engagement session with us and learn more about them too…
Rebecca and Joseph are in a long distance relationship! If you’ve ever been in one, you know how hard it can be find time to see each other. Now imagine finding time to plan a wedding on top of that! Well these two are truly doing it all. Rebecca lives in Fort Wayne, while Joseph lives in the Goshen/South Bend area. They are absolutely the sweetest people ever! If their engagement session with them told us anything, it’s that these two are going to throw one heck of party next year when they get married. Fall 2021 here we come!
Because these two meet half way at her family’s lake cottage so often, we thought it would be super special to photograph their engagement session there too! A special place requires special photos, right? Rebecca’s family lake cottage is on the beautiful Syracuse Lake in Syracuse Indiana. (Fun fact, we photographed Rebecca’s cousins wedding. We even shot their engagement photos at the same lake cottage!)
By the end of their session, Rebecca and Joseph were soaked head to toe. They were so easy going! They even jumped off the dock at the end. Rebecca and Joseph are one of those couples where you can just feel their personalities and love for each other come through each photograph – It’s really something special. We loved photographing these two on Syracuse Lake, and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the Oakwood Resort next fall. 2021 can’t come fast enough! Happy wedding planning from your favorite husband and wife photography team!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Remember Amanda and Grant’s Headwaters Park engagement session this past spring? Well, as promised, here is part 2! If you haven’t seen their first session with us, click here (CLICK ME)! We absolutely adore capturing our couples in places that are super special to them. In this case, we captured Amanda and Grant at Big Long Lake!
When it came time to plan engagement photos, Amanda and Grant knew they wanted to capture it in two different locations – One in Fort Wayne and the other at their lake. What we love about having multiple session with our couples before their weddings is that we get to know them even more before their big day. We get to know what poses they like, whether our corny jokes make them laugh or not, and what makes them the most comfortable in front of the camera. At the end of the day, that is the most important thing! If our clients are comfortable in front of our cameras, that means we’re doing our job!
We loved working with Amanda and Grant, both times! We knew that their second session would be just as awesome – and it was! These two are getting married this November at the amazing Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum (super awesome classic car museum in Auburn Indiana). We can’t wait! Thanks for reading all of this and for viewing our favorite photos of this Big Long Lake engagement session. Happy planning!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Meet Rachel and Patrick! These two adorable people will be getting married this summer in the great city of Indianapolis. We love going into the city, especially for weddings, so we are really looking forward to capturing their wedding day in such a beautiful place! Follow along to learn about Rachel and Patrick’s relationship and see our favorite photos from this sweet Lake James engagement session.
Patrick and Rachel plan to live in Fort Wayne (our awesome home town). Patrick is starting his medical career and Rachel is a teacher. We loved getting to hear about their wedding, their plans, and more during their session with us – It’s the best part of our job. Rachel, as you can see from the photos below, is just as cute as a button! Patrick had the most relaxed and easy going vibe, so these two were the best to work with. They were up for anything, even climbing way up in a tree during their session!
We got to explore the beautiful Pokagon State Park with these two! When we were planning the session, Rachel told us that she thought that it would be really fun to do it at Patrick’s family lake cottage on Lake James. We loved that idea and knew it was close to Pokagon, so we went to the Potawatomi Inn for variety! After exploring Pokagon with Rachel and Patrick, we headed to their family lake cottage for sunset photos.
We took photos in an adorable canoe out over the water – Check out some of the drone pictures we got (pictured below)! Afterwards, Patrick insisted that they do some photos in their matching Star Wars bathing suits – They were so cute. Of course, we had to end the night with a jumping off the dock shot! Check out those gifs!
We are super excited to share this adorable engagement session. We’re even more excited to capture their beautiful wedding day later this summer. We hope you all loved reading about this sweet Lake James engagement session! To Rachel and Patrick, happy planning – We’ll see you guys soon!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Meet Sophia & Brenden! We met Brenden a long time ago at one his his relatives’ weddings – We were photographing it of course. Anyways, what an awesome session! Read on to learn more some sweet Leo engagement and learn more about Sophia & Brenden!
Sophia and Brenden met while attending Leo High School. We thought it was a great idea to do their session at the one and only Metea Park, since it’s so close to Leo which holds a special place in their hearts! They met up with us at the beautiful Metea Park right at the peak of fall here in Fort Wayne. It was cold, but you’d never know by looking at them! The park was absolutely beautiful at this time, but Sophia & Brenden were the ones who made it all magical (proof in the photos below).
Near the end of our sessions at Metea Park, we always take our couples to the beach and pond area. It was cold. Very cold. One of us had jokingly said, “Want to get in the pond?”, to which Sophia responded “I was hoping you’d ask”. She wanted that specific shot, so of course, we had to deliver! Despite the cold temperatures and even colder water, these two ran in to the pond for some photos. One of the last photos is them running out of the water – and yes, they were very happy to get out.
When these two got engaged, they initially picked a later date! They were just too excited to get married though, so they moved their wedding date up to August! It is a beautiful time to get married and we cannot wait to capture all the sweet details of their big day. This Leo engagement session was everything we hoped it would be and more. Happy planning!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Introducing Kristina & Joseph! We met Kristina when she was a bridesmaid in Aleks and Matt’s wedding in Fort Wayne a few years ago! We met up with these two at none other than Notre Dame University. This Notre Dame engagement session was so beautiful. Read on to learn a little bit about these two and how our time with them went!
There is something about being on a campus with so much history and classic architecture that makes being a photographer so fun, especially when you’re working with a couple as awesome as Kristina and Joseph. These two Irish fans wanted to capture their engagement and love at their favorite place! We thought it was a great idea to capture them in a place that we don’t get to shoot at a lot!
After meeting up with them in front of the Notre Dame football stadium, we walked to all of the iconic places on campus: the historic Golden Dome, the reflection pool in front the Hesburgh Library (adorned with what many call the “Touchdown Jesus”), and the beautiful garden art structure in front of the Fitzpatrick Hall of Engineering. Everything about this session was so beautiful!
Kristina & Joesph will be getting married next year in a beautiful Macedonian Wedding! Can’t wait to capture all the awesomeness of their big day… Until then, happy planning!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Meet Emily and Jordan, one of our awesome 2020 wedding season couples! These two will be getting married this coming February. As you will see in the photos below, we had a lot of fun with Emily and Jordan during their session. Read along to learn about some details from this sweet Home Engagement Session…
Emily and Jordan live on a gorgeous property! We love when we get to explore new places, especially as photographers. There are so many fresh locations and new discoveries that lead to awesome photos! We started off in some of the woods on their property, where the sun was shining through the trees. (We had the most beautiful golden light for their session.) Their outfits fit the coziness of the season so well. For Emily first outfit, she wore maroon colored pants with a white top and a fun yellow cardigan. This paired super nicely with Jordan’s light blue jeans and red flannel shirt.
After taking some photos in the woods, we walked over to a tall grassy field where the sun was just golden. These two laughed and went with the flow the entire session. They were really up for anything! After this, we took photos by some of Jordan’s trucks. From tractors, to trucks, to utility vehicles, Jordan had it all! We also snagged some photos on this beautiful overgrown bridge. This space was really neat because of the lighting and colors – It was seriously so romantic.
Outfit change! Emily changed into blue jeans and a grey sweater, accessorized with a light grey and white scarf, while Jordan changed into a grey quarter zip! We took photos by the AWESOME orange and black truck then went over to this gorgeous part of the property where there was tall grass, trees, and sun pouring through the scene. I mean, just look at these love birds? We headed over to some silos and finished off the night with a gorgeous sunset in the field. Of course, we had to include their sweet pup in the photos too! Check out all that puppy love.
Getting to know Emily and Jordan during their engagement session was so awesome. We can’t wait to capture all the love on your big day! Until then, happy planning!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
