You may remember Martha and Dan from their engagement session blog that we posted a few weeks back. If not, make sure to go check it out and see all of their super sweet engagement photos! (You can click here to see that post.) Martha and Daniel’s Swan Lake Resort wedding was nothing short of awesome! Even if the power went out due to an ice storm. Read on for all the details from their big day!
If you read Martha and Daniel’s engagement blog, you learned that these two got engaged around thanksgiving of 2020! Rather than planning a massive wedding with tons of guests, Martha and Daniel decided to host a smaller intimate wedding over the New Year, since family would already be in town! So with just over a month to plan, these two had a lot to do! Being at their wedding, you would have never known it was planned in that amount of time. It was a beautiful day, albeit with some hiccups, but Martha and Dan never got stressed out! They rolled with the punches and made amazing memories with friends and family.
The day’s events were all held at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth Indiana. Martha got ready with her mom and bridesmaid in the bridal suite! After getting completely ready, Martha did a first look with her dad. Afterwards, we took some photos of Martha with her family, then Martha went to rest before the ceremony. We snagged some photos of Daniel getting ready and of his mom putting his boutonniere on. We used the in between time before the ceremony to take some photos of Daniel with his groomsmen and family, then it was time for the ceremony!
The ceremony was inside since it was so cold and wet outside. Friends and family took their seats and the ceremony started! Dan waited up front for Martha. Soon, Martha’s mom and Daniel’s parents walked down the aisle, where both of their moms lit candles for the ceremony. Soon, Martha walked through the door way with her dad and made their to the front of the room. Martha and Dan took hands, exchanged vows, exchanged rings, performed a candle ceremony! They kissed and were officially married!
After the ceremony, Martha and Dan hopped online to their live stream of the ceremony to thank everyone who watched them get married online, then we headed outside for photos. We took some wedding party photos then had some portrait time with Martha and Dan, the newlyweds! An ice storm had come through northern Indiana the night before their wedding day. While this created a power outage at the reception hall, it also created a stunning atmosphere for photos! We were loving every minute!
After photos, it was time for the reception. Swan Lake Resort was beautiful inside! Even though the power was out, Martha and Daniel made the most of it. Luckily, we had some video lights in our car, so we set those up on the dance floor so everyone could see! It made for one memorable wedding! There were dinner, toasts, cake cutting, and first dances, then the dance floor opened up!
We had so much fun capturing Martha and Daniel’s Swan Lake Resort Wedding day. We are so happy for these two and their new marriage! We hope you guys love your photos. Can’t wait to photograph you two again!

Julie and Justin are married! You may remember these two from their adorable Concordia Seminary engagement session over the summer. It was the session that ended with a gorgeous rainbow! If not, click here to learn more about these two’s engagement (CLICK ME)! Read on for details about this sweet Empyrean Christmas wedding and see our favorite photos…
The day’s events all took place at the incredible Empyrean in downtown Fort Wayne. The venue practically sits at the top of the city, with floor to ceiling views for miles. It really is Fort Wayne’s “wow” venue!! Julie, her daughter Chloe, her mom, and her sister got ready in the bridal suite at the Empyrean. It’s spacious and full of natural light (aka, the perfect getting ready space). Julie got her dress from the awesome I Do Bridal on Coldwater Road – It was stunning! Both Julie’s mom and daughter helped her into her dress. We love to imagine what our photos will be used for in the future when photographing someone’s wedding… We have a feeling these getting ready photos might be recreated someday!
Because of COVID-19, Julie and Justin decided to postpone the large reception with friends and family until next year. They still wanted to hold the ceremony on their original date however, because the date itself is very special to them. On December 19th last year, Justin was down on one knee proposing! We are so glad that Julie and Justin were able to get married on such a special date, surrounded by their immediate families.
After Julie was completely dressed from head to toe in her full bridal look, it was time for the ceremony! This small intimate was so sweet. There were so many sweet, genuine laughs that made the whole experience memorable for everyone. Although this is not what Julie and Justin had planned for their wedding day, they truly made the most of it and celebrated as if nothing had changed. After some sweet vows and the exchange of some wedding bands, Julie and Justin kissed and were officially husband and wife.
Before the family dinner, we took Julie, Justin, and their wedding party of 2 (who were both siblings) outside for some portraits. Because it wasn’t too cold, we were able to take our time and really make the most of the portrait time for these two. And boy, were they easy to photograph. Real smiles, real love, and a really good time.
After portraits, the night ended with a sweet dinner between both Julie and Justin’s immediate family and everyone talked about their excitement for next year. Empyrean Designs decked out the large table in beautiful holiday decor – It was so stunning! Empyrean served a delicious three course meal and everyone enjoyed the company of family. After dinner, because it wasn’t too cold, we took Julie, Justin, and their daughter Chloe outside for some night portraits. We think these are our favorite photos from the day!
Like Julie, Justin, and their families, we are so excited for their Empyrean wedding reception next summer! We loved photographing this sweet Empyrean Christmas Wedding. We hope you love these photos! See you guys next summer for an awesome dance party…

Mackenzie and Logan are married! You may remember these two from their beautiful downtown Fort Wayne engagement session last year. If not, click here! We’ve even had the pleasure of seeing them a few times throughout this year at other weddings that we’ve photographed! Read along to learn more about Mackenzie and Logan’s Ceruti’s Diamond Room Wedding and see our favorite photos…
We got to spend the day with not one, not two, but six of our amazing Dustin and Corynn couples. It felt like a Dustin & Corynn reunion. It was great seeing so many of our couples all in one space and all so happy! Some of them even have babies! See how many of our couples you can spot in the photos below…
Mackenzie and her bridesmaids got ready at Mackenzie’s parents’ home! Mackenzie is super close with her family, so getting ready somewhere so close to her was super special. After getting dressed, each of Mackenzie’s bridesmaids helped her with all of her jewelry and final details. Of course, Mackenzie had to get a photo with her sweet family dog! Before we knew it, it was time to head over to the church. While the guys got ready, we took photos of Mackenzie with her bridesmaids, her mom, and the adorable flower girls and ring bearer! Then it was time to go inside and wait for the ceremony.
Logan and his groomsmen got ready at the Grabill Missionary Church in Grabill, Indiana. It’s a beautiful church with a great getting ready space for the guys, ping pong table and all! Once Logan was ready, we took some photos of Logan with his groomsmen, then set Logan up for a letter reading with Mackenzie. We found some beautiful pine trees for the letter reading. While Mackenzie and Logan read their letters to each other, there were lots of laughs, nerves, and excitement! Before we knew it, it was time to head inside for the ceremony. Guests found their seats and Logan and the wedding party made their way up front. Mackenzie and her dad walked down the aisle towards Logan, and their eyes never stopped connecting. Mackenzie and Logan exchanged vows, exchanged rings, completed a candle lighting ceremony, and kissed! They were officially husband and wife!
After the ceremony, we photographed Mackenzie, Logan, and their families outside the church. For a November wedding, the weather was amazing! There was no wind, no rain or snow, and it was 70 degrees out. It was a perfect day! When planning a wedding late in the year, you never know what you’re gonna get for weather. For Mackenzie and Logan, it was the perfect day.
We headed to downtown Fort Wayne for wedding party photos. The wedding party took a trolley which was super convenient for traveling all together and made for some awesome photos! Of course, we had to take photos with the great golden doors in downtown Fort Wayne. From there, we took some in front of the beautiful Allen County Courthouse. Mackenzie and Logan are obsessed with Starbucks and coffee, so we made sure to include that on the wedding day because it means so much to them! They ordered some coffee and posed with their sweet Christmas Starbucks cups outside for some photos. It was great! Before heading to the reception, we got some awesome night portraits at Promenade Park and on the Wells Street Bridge!
The reception was at the awesome Ceruti’s Diamond Room. A beautiful, spacious venue set up perfectly for a wedding! There were great toasts and lots of dancing. The food was awesome too! Rather than serving a traditional wedding dinner, they had food stations: one had pasta, another served miniature grilled cheese and tomato soup, another served salad, and another had sliders and assorted sandwiches. The options were endless and awesome!
Capturing Mackenzie and Logan’s Ceruti’s Diamond Room wedding was an honor. This wedding in particular seemed much anticipated! Maybe it’s because we saw them so many times throughout this past year, or maybe it’s because we got to see so many our our past, present, and future couples! Whatever the reason, we are so thankful Mackenzie and Logan chose us to capture their wedding day. It was seriously awesome. We wish you two the best of luck with your marriage!

Brittany and Matt are married! This Fort Wayne wedding was sure a sweet one to capture. Read along to learn more about Brittany and Matt’s wedding day and see our favorite photos…
The day started at the beautiful Hilton Hotel in downtown Fort Wayne. Brittany and all of her bridesmaids and friends got ready in a pretty suite on the sixth floor. Brittany had her hair and makeup done and got all glammed up for the day! Lindsay Neal from the Lola Five Salon did such a beautiful job with Brittany’s hair. After hair and makeup, Brittany got into her gorgeous dress from One Fine Day! While the girls were upstairs getting ready for the day, Matt and his wedding party were hanging out on the floor below. They didn’t want to risk any peeking before the first look after all! After capturing all of the details and getting ready shots, it was time for the first look!
For the first look, we walked across the street to the beautiful Cathedral just a block away. Once Matt was placed and ready, Brittany soon arrived to the location and tapped Matt on the shoulder. Yes, there were lots of smiles and laughs!! It was so sweet. This led into some portrait time with Brittany, Matt, and their wedding party. We took photos in front of the Cathedral, then headed to Foster Park for more photos and family portraits.
After family photos, everyone headed over to Events at the Summit for the ceremony and reception! After guests found their seats, the ceremony began. The wedding party made their way down the aisle and soon Brittany and her dad walked down as well. Brittany and Matt exchanged vows and rings, and did a Bridal Cup ceremony where both drink out of the same cup at the same time! If you’d like to learn a little more about the lore and history of that ceremony, click here (CLICK ME). Brittany and Matt kissed and were officially husband and wife! After the ceremony, guests and family made their way into the reception space for dinner, toasts, and dancing!
This Fort Wayne wedding was a dream and could not have been what it was without Brittany and Matt’s awesome team of wedding vendors. Below is some vendor love! The dinner for the evening was provided by Grants Catering. The beautiful decor was by Linda at Wedding Dreams. The spread of desserts were provided by Hetty Arts Pastry. The Bar services were provided by Licensed Bar Service in Fort Wayne. The floral arrangements from the day were crafted by The Flowerman, an awesome wedding florist out of Centerville Ohio. The ceremony musicians were Devon Carpenter, the Harpist, and company. The chairs were provided by Summit City Rental. The DJ for the evening was Erik from EMS DJ Services – He kept the party moving all night long!
Brittany and Matt’s Fort Wayne wedding was so beautiful and we loved photographing their special day. There was a lot of love shared throughout the day and evening, and we consider ourselves honored to have been chosen to capture it. To the newlyweds, we wish you both happiness and good health as you start this new path of marriage. We love you guys!

Valerie and Josh are finally married! Despite planning their wedding during COVID-19, these two planned a super fun and safe day for family and guests. Read on to learn more about this Orchard Ridge Country Club wedding and see some (a lot) of our favorite photos!
The wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. This is where Valerie and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day! Valerie’s bridesmaids helped her get into her dress and helped her get ready for walking down the aisle! Josh and his groomsmen arrived to the church a little before the ceremony and hung out in a different part of the church! Valerie and Josh wanted to wait until the ceremony to see each other, so there was no first look! Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony.
Guests found their seats, then the wedding party walked down the aisle one by one. Josh patiently waited for his bride! Valerie and her dad walked down the aisle towards Josh. Valerie’s dad joined her and Josh’s hands and gave her away. After a real and sweet message of love and unity from Father Jay, Valerie and Josh exchanged vows, rings, and a kiss! The two were officially married!
After the ceremony, we took a family portraits inside the church and then a few outside of the church as well. We headed to the beautiful Lakeside Rose Gardens for more photos after. It was so beautiful and sunny on their wedding day – We could not have asked for more beautiful weather! After spending some time at the gardens, Valerie and Josh wanted to take a moment to see Valerie’s mom’s grave. She passed away a few years ago. They took time to say hi to her and pray. It was bitter sweet and meant the world to them to do this on their wedding day.
The reception was held at the awesome Orchard Ridge Country Club. While dinner and toasts were on the inside, the reception itself was outside under a tent on the patio! After toasts, dinner, and cake cutting, everyone headed outside for music, dancing, and fun! Around sunset, we took Valerie and Josh out on to the golf course for some dreamy golden hour photos! Those are probably some of our favorites from the day.
We loved capturing this sweet Orchard Ridge Country Club wedding. To Valerie and Josh, we wish you guys good health and happiness on this new path of marriage! We love you guys!

Victoria and brennen are married! These two tied the knot at the beautiful Victory Life Church in New Haven, Indiana. Read on to learn more about this sweet Orchid Event Center wedding and see some of our favorite photos and moments from the day!
The day started at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. This is where everyone got ready for the big day and where Victoria and Brennen had their first look! After Victoria’s bridal look was complete, we took her and Brennen outside for their first look. It was so sweet! Naturally, this led into a portrait session with the soon-to-be newlyweds! Before leaving for Victory Life Church, we photographed the wedding party and were even able to take some beautiful family photos in this time (The property of the seminary is so beautiful. There is so much to photograph including some gorgeous weeping willows and tree lined paths and ponds too! It’s seriously awesome.) After photos at the seminary, we headed to the church to get ready for the ceremony!
The ceremony was stunning, and that’s an understatement. The aisle was lined with beautiful greenery and candles, while the ceremony stage had a geometric arch decked out with fresh jewel toned florals by the amazing crew at Bridal Blooms in Fort Wayne (Instagram: @BridalBloomsFW). It was probably one of the most beautiful floral arch we’ve seen! After family and guests found their seats, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, and ring bearers made their way down the aisle. Before you knew it, Victoria and her dad were walking down the aisle! During the ceremony, a video of Victoria’s Grandpa, Grandpa Love, was shared. Because of the virus, he couldn’t be at the wedding for risk of getting it. So rather, he shared a sweet message to his Granddaughter Victoria and his new Grandson Brennen. He could not have been more proud of the two of them. After the sweet video, Victoria and Brennen tied a cord of three strands, exchanged vows and rings, and kissed! They were officially husband and wife.
After the ceremony, we moved the gorgeous floral arch outside the church for more family photos! It was too pretty not to photograph with. Then we headed to the reception at the awesome Orchid Event Center, just minutes away. When guests arrived, they all headed to the outdoor pavilion for cocktail hour. A little while later, the hall was opened to guests and family. Everyone found their seats inside the event center and the wedding party made their entrances! The toasts were sweet as can be and dinner was delicious. The tables were also decked out in stunning florals and sweet modern decor. It really was picture perfect! Victoria worked at the Orchid Event Center, so both Victoria and Brennen are super close with the owners family (photographed below)! It was so special for them to have their wedding at a place so important to them.
After dinner, everyone headed outside to the pavilion again for the remainder of the reception. There was a fun donut wall, a ton of beautifully decorated cupcakes, and a stunning cake with flowers! Guests found seats and watched the first dances. The most memorable part of the first dances was that Victoria’s sister got to dance with their dad. She never got to dance with her dad at her wedding, so this was an incredibly emotional surprise for her. Half way through Victoria’s dance with her dad, she pulled her sister out to the dance floor. It was so sweet!
This Orchid Event Center Wedding was absolutely beautiful. We loved capturing Victoria and Brennen’s big day and witnessing the two of them get married. We wish you both nothing but good healthy and lots of happiness as you start this new path of marriage together.
