Emily and Max’s wedding was jaw-droppingly beautiful! Max and Emily’s Sycamore Hills Golf Club wedding ceremony and reception were at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club, a beautiful Fort Wayne venue for weddings and other events – We loved having the opportunity to take photos in this gorgeous setting for Emily and Max’s big day! Nevertheless, this venue is one of our favorites and provides such a beautiful backdrop for portraits.
Getting Ready
First, the day started early for Emily and her bridesmaids, spending the morning getting ready in one of the club’s cottages. Red Stiletto Hair and Makeup did a wonderful job. They created the perfect wedding day look for Emily and her bridesmaids. After Emily’s bridesmaids put on their dresses, it was time for Emily to be helped into her dress. If you had read our blog post about Emily and Max’s engagement session, you would know that they live in New York City. Can you guess where Emily got her wedding dress? Yes, Kleinfeld Bridal! This gorgeous pleated gown had most beautiful beading and detail – simple, elegant, and show-stopping. Emily’s mom helped her into her dress while surrounded by her bridesmaids. Next, it was time for the first look with Max!
Sycamore Hills Golf Club Wedding
Before, entering the the clubhouse, Max patiently awaited the arrival of his beautiful bride and partner of many years. Emily walked right up to Max, tapped on his shoulder, and he saw Emily in her beautiful white dress for the first time! After a sweet embrace, the two waited inside with their family and bridal party for the ceremony to begin. Later, the ceremony was under the beautiful covered patio area of the Club house.
Throughout the event were greenery and flowers hanging from the ceiling, on the cake, at every table, and just about everywhere else too. All hand-arranged and hand-crafted by Rose’s Bouquets, a wedding only florist. There was even a beautiful floral arch hung where the ceremony took place. After the super sweet ceremony officiated by Max’s dad, we headed out on the course for a few rounds of golf! Just kidding. We actually headed to the green for some pictures!
Sycamore Hills Golf Club Wedding Reception
Shortly after photos of the bridal party and family portraits, the bridal party made their grand entrance. They arrived to the dining room where guests cheered for their arrival! There was a funny dual toast by Max’s two brothers. Later a sweet maid of honor toast by Emily’s long-time college roommate and best friend. Lastly, an additional toast by a groomsmen who knows both Emily and Max. After toasts, dinner, and some sweet cake cutting, family and guests headed out on the covered patio for the dancing!
This was such a sweet wedding to be a part of. Nevertheless their Sycamore Hills Golf Club wedding was a hit! We loved having the opportunity to capture Emily and Max’s love in New York City and in Fort Wayne. Best of wishes to you guys!
Cheers,
-Dustin & Corynn
