Greg & Brian // Oakwood Resort Wedding

Our couple Greg & Brian officially tied the knot! These two had a beautiful Oakwood Resort wedding. We were so happy to be part of it, and are so excited to share the photos with you…

We were psyched to see these two again after their West Central engagement session. This Lake Wawasee wedding had been long-awaited. They are such a great couple, and we love being with them! They were married at Oakwood Resort, which offered an awesome space for getting ready. Everyone hung out and got ready for the big day together! Then, it was time to be wed.

The two were married by Greg’s childhood best friend, who wore a killer white jumpsuit! It was so special for them to be married by someone near and dear to their hearts. Greg & Brian had an unusual and super fun request – they invited all of the females to wear white! Since women are never allowed to wear white to a wedding, they thought it’d be fun to allow everyone to wear the usually forbidden color.

Both Greg & Brian hail from families of four sons. Thus, Greg’s side of the wedding party included his three brothers, and so did Brian’s, minus one. One of Brian’s brothers is in the military and was unable to attend, but thanks to technology, they were able to FaceTime him in so he could join in the celebration!

During the ceremony, Greg & Brian read their vows to one another and then exchanged rings. Then, they kissed, and were officially married! Following the ceremony, we captured photos of our grooms, their wedding party, and their families. Lake Wawasee offered such a great, natural spot for photos.

Then, it was time for toasts, food, and dancing. Their reception was held on the property underneath a gorgeous clear tent. It’s officially our favorite setting now! The lighting was exceptional under the tent. Plus, they had adorable string lights stretching from one end of the tent to the other. It gave the whole space such a cool effect! The dance floor was outside the tent in an open setting. They again strung lights over the dance floor, adding some flair and ambiance! During Brian’s mother-son dance, his mom was very emotional, and made us tear up! It was the sweetest, most heartfelt moment.

We lucked out with great weather all day. The sky was overcast and the temperatures were cool, making for a really enjoyable time. Toward the end of the reception, we took Greg & Brian out to do more photos. Once again, the lake was an awesome spot to capture those stunning night photos – just look at the pictures! We captured our couple by the glistening lake and under the romantic tent lighting.

It’s a small world after all – the same day Greg & Brian got married, our couple Kylie & Drake also got married. While we had to split up for these weddings, so did the guests! Brian and Drake were in residency together and invited many of the same friends, so guests had to split their time.

Greg & Brian were so easy to work with and such a joy to be around. We were so honored to be part of their Oakwood Resort wedding and wish them well as they begin their marriage together!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
