Hannah & Rod // The Charles Wedding

Breaking news – Hannah and Rod are married! Their wedding at The Charles was truly newsworthy. We are stoked to share more of their Charles wedding with you…

You may recognize Hannah & Rod either from watching them on TV or from their Louisville engagement session! This power couple used to be on the local news here in Fort Wayne, but have since moved to Louisville. Their news careers brought them together – Hannah is a meteorologist and Rod is a news producer! We are so grateful they asked us to be part of their journey.

Living in Louisville and getting married in Fort Wayne, they had to do a lot of long-distance wedding planning. With the help of friends, family, and us, they pulled it off. Their wedding day was complete with a gorgeous venue, dress, florals, food, cake, musicians, and friends and family! The stunning florals were by the fabulous Rose’s Bouquets. Seriously, she crushes it every time! We love seeing our brides with her flowers.

After doing the classic getting-ready photos with our bride, it was time for the two to become one. As the musicians played, Hannah’s dad walked her down the aisle to her forever. The two exchanged vows, rings, and kissed. They were married! Their outdoor ceremony was gorgeous, sunny, and hot! They actually picked this date because the Farmer’s Almanac said it’s the only date that has never rained – which reigned true! It was crazy hot, but it was the perfect day for Hannah & Rod.

We loved photographing our couple with their families and their wedding party after the ceremony. The venue is beautiful and makes for outstanding photos! Next, it was time to celebrate! At their reception, they had board games for guests to play – what a creative idea! Continuing the creativity, for their guest book, they provided a Polaroid camera and a blank photo book. Friends and family took a Polaroid picture, taped it in the book, and wrote a message of well wishes to our couple.

The night was complete with dancing and mingling with their friends and family. Then, we stole our couple away to do our favorite, sunset photos! The field and pond at The Charles are so pretty, especially at sunset. This wedding was special for many reasons, one being we got to see one of our past brides, Alyssa! It’s always a great day when we are able to spend time with our lovely Dustin & Corynn couples.

Hannah & Rod are some of the most amazing people we know. They are the most easy-going, down-to-earth couple, and we are glad to know them. Their Charles wedding was remarkable. We had the best day with them, and wish them all the best in Louisville!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
