Joanna and Russell are married! You might remember them from their super sweet fall engagement session last year. Read on to learn about this adorable Fort Wayne Country Wedding and see all of the highlights.
The day started at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in downtown Fort Wayne. Joanna and her awesome group of bridesmaids prepared for the wedding day in a beautiful hotel suite. Russell and his groomsmen got ready next door at the Hampton Inn & Suites! We got photos of Joanna and her bridesmaids in their super cute pajamas, then photos of Joanna getting her dress. Of, course we captured details, jewelry, and a sweet first look with her and her dad! After getting photos of Joanna, we headed over to the hotel that Russell and his groomsmen were at to grab some photos of the guys! Not before long, it was time to head over to the courthouse!
Everyone met up over at the beautiful Allen County Courthouse in downtown Fort Wayne. When Joanna arrived, Russell was waiting for her outside the doors of the Courthouse for their first look! Joanna walked up and hugged Russell from behind, then their eyes met. After their sweet first look, we took Joanna and Russell around the outside of the courthouse for portraits. Then we brought their wedding party outside! After some portrait time, we took a few family photos then waited for the ceremony to begin!
Family, friends, and guests filled the beautiful, historic space and nerves and excitement were high! One by one, pairs of bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle, preparing the way for Joanna. Joanna and her dad met Russell at the front of the ceremony at the very center of the courthouse. Joanna’s dad gave her away and placed her hand in Russells! This brought some smiles and laughter from all, even Joanna, Russell, and her dad chuckled (see picture below). After some sweet vows, the cord of three strands ceremony, and the exchange of wedding bands, Joanna and Russell were pronounced Husband and Wife! They kissed and made their way back down the aisle.
After the ceremony, we took the remaining family portraits then all headed over to the beautiful Fort Wayne Country Club! This is a such a wonderful wedding venue – It has amazing food and staff and can accommodate large weddings. Joanna, Russell, family, and friends gathered for some toasts, dinner, and a celebration of their new marriage. Everyone danced all evening long and had a wonderful time celebrating.
This Fort Wayne Country Club wedding was a dream! Everything was decorated so beautifully and thoughtfully, from the s’mores bar to the unique guestbook of post cards. Our awesome team of associates loved capturing Joanna and Russell’s wedding day. We hope you cherish these photos for years to come!
