It’s Christmas in July! Julie & Justin were finally able to celebrate their marriage with their friends and family. We were so excited to see them again and complete the celebration at their Elysean reception, and can’t wait to share the photos with you!
Their wedding was planned for December 2020 at the Empyrean, but due to the pandemic, they limited their ceremony to immediate family only. They had a sweet, intimate ceremony, and then planned their big celebration for this summer! The event started with Julie and her girls prepping for the big day by doing their hair and makeup and getting reception-ready in their dresses! Julie’s stunning hair was done by Tayler Nevil and Amy Henke and her beautiful makeup was done by Red Stiletto. She found her gorgeous gown at I Do Bridal Boutique! She looked like a true snow queen.
The weather was questionable on the day of their big event. Have no fear, though, we always make the most of the weather we’re given! As soon as the rain subsided, we decided to hop in our cars and drive down to the brand new boutique downtown Fort Wayne hotel, The Bradley! If you haven’t been here yet, you’ve got to check this space out. There is a rooftop bar with an excellent view of our lovely city! We traveled up to the top of the building and took photos of Julie & Justin with Fort Wayne in the background.
Then, it was time to party! We arrived back at Elysean where the wedding party and our bride and groom made their grand entrances. For their reception, they continued with the Christmas theme of their original wedding, making it Christmas in July! It was such a special touch, and we loved seeing their theme continued. Empyrean Events made sure the reception space was full of Christmas colors, Christmas trees, snowmen, you name it! Christmas truly came alive at Elysean that night. Empyrean also catered a delicious meal. They kill it every time! Additionally, Hall’s provided a gorgeous wedding cake!
Through beautiful toasts, first dances, and cake cutting, it was an all-around wonderful night! They danced the night away with their family and friends, and we were lucky to be part of it. As always, it’s wonderful seeing our couples at each other’s weddings. We saw Hannah & Rod at this beautiful reception! We loved seeing these newlyweds again. Then…
…SURPRISE! Julie & Justin announced during their reception that they are pregnant! We couldn’t be more excited for them to welcome another child, in addition to their adorable daughter Chloe, into their family.
Julie & Justin’s Elysean reception was highly anticipated and well worth the wait. We loved celebrating these two once again. We’re so honored to be part of their story, and can’t wait to watch their family grow!
