Mackenzie and Alex are married! As Fort Wayne wedding photographers we have worked with incredible people, but working with old friends is such a different experience. Mackenzie and Corynn used to dance at the ballet together! Above all, it was a fun surprise to get to capture her wedding day, and reminisce. Throughout their day the couple celebrated the beauty found all around Fort Wayne, it was beautiful. Makenzie and Alex’s St Charles wedding was filled with elegant and classy elements to create timeless wedding day memories.
First, Mackenzie started off her day by getting ready at the new and beautiful Bradley Hotel surrounded by her girl squad. Having friends around on your big day is always a great idea to help calm any wedding day jitters. While also creating memories and having some fun celebrating together. While Mackenzie got ready, Alex and their son Parker got ready together and hung out with the guys at the church. Throughout the day Parker was a great sport, and was so excited to see his mom in her wedding dress!
St. Charles Wedding Ceremony
Later, Mackenzie shared an emotional first look with her father. Next, with their son Parker! Both first looks were emotional and so beautiful to capture. It was definitely a highlight of their St Charles wedding day. Mackenzie and Alex’s wedding ceremony was at St Charles Catholic church, surrounded by family and loved ones. As Alex watched Mackenzie be escorted down the aisle by her father, and their son, he began to get emotional. It was such a touching moment, there wasn’t a dry eye in the building.
After the ceremony, we took family formals in the church, and then whisked our couple away for some bridal portraits. Bridal portraits took place in downtown Fort Wayne, where we experienced some crazy weather! Throughout our time spent outdoors, it was windy and just nasty weather, but we made the best of it and got some incredible shots. Thankfully our couple was willing to endure a little bit of crazy wind! Next, we were off to the party!
Baker Street Station Reception
After the couple’s bridal portraits, the party moved to Baker Street Station. It was an elegant affair filled with laughter, fun, and events for everyone to enjoy. Throughout their reception were the most beautiful details to bring the whole event together. Next, there was delicious food, speeches, and their bridal party even danced into the event. We loved seeing the dancing Mackenzie and Alex incorporated into their St. Charles wedding day, it always shows off everyone’s personality!
Later that evening, the couple shared a family cake cutting with their guests, getting Parker in on the action too! It was a great way to celebrate their story, and next chapter in life together. After the cake cutting, they danced! First, Mackenzie danced with her father, and Alex with his mother. Next, Mackenzie and Alex danced together as husband and wife, it was the perfect way to get the party started. Later, guests danced the night away celebrating Mackenzie and Alex’s union. Above all, this little family’s St Charles wedding was a day filled with love, laughter, and memories made to last a lifetime.
