Meet Tori and Derrek! These two live down in Indianapolis, so we got to go to the city for a day. They’ll be getting married this coming September in Indianapolis too, so we are really looking forward to coming back to capture their big day. Read along as we talk about Tori and Derrek and see our favorite photos from this White River State Park engagement session…

We met up with these two at one of our favorite locations to photograph at in Indianapolis – White River State Park! We walked all up and down the beautiful canal for Tori and Derrek’s engagement session! It was a blast. We started by the museum and other buildings in the area, then stopped for an epic photo with the beautiful blue sky and puffy white clouds. From there, we walked all over the state park looking for some fun places for photos! We had a great time exploring the area with them. Towards the end of the night when the sun was going down, we headed over to monument circle at the center of Indianapolis – These night photos were epic! Monument circle was lit up all blue for 4th of July, so we had some fun light to work with.

Originally, Tori and Derrek wanted to have snowy engagement photos done over the winter, but when we showed all showed up for photos, it wasn’t snowing! We decided to wait until it snowed again, but then covid-19 happened and we were all in lockdown. So here we are! Even though their photos are snowy, they sure are sunny! We think they turned out pretty awesome. Don’t you think?

With everything going on with covid-19, even with cancelations and rescheduling, it was really sweet to hear that these two are still planning on getting married this fall. Some changes may have to be made to make things safer, but Tori and Derrek will be married this fall! So until then, enjoy photos from this sweet White River State Park engagement! Happy planning!
