Elise & Peter // Arizona Mountain Wedding

Elise & Peter // Arizona Mountain Wedding

Meet Elise and Peter, one of our amazing 2020 couples! We had the awesome privilege of capturing this fun Arizona Mountain Wedding. You can view all of their wedding photos here (CLICK ME), but our favorite moments are in the photos below. We also had an awesome time working alongside Daniel Martinez Hernandez, Elise and Peter’s wedding videographer (instagram: @shotbytruly). Read on for all the details of this sweet Arizona wedding.

The day’s events were held at The Paseo, an awesome wedding venue that sits near the Superstition Mountains and the Sonoran Desert. It has awesome getting ready spaces as well as picturesque views, a modern and stylish facility, and a stellar staff. Elise spent the morning getting ready with her favorite people. After getting her hair and makeup done, Elise put on her dress with her mom and bridesmaids. She paired her dress with simple accessories for an effortless glam bridal look. As everyone finished getting ready, guests began to arrive. Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony! The florals were delivered before the ceremony and were absolutely stunning. J Barry Designs created such beautiful arrangements for Elise and Peter’s wedding day.

Guests found their seats, then Elise made her way down the aisle towards the love of her life. The two exchanged vows, performed a candle lighting ceremony, kissed, and broke a glass, a common Jewish tradition, to symbolize the foreverness of their marriage! As guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on the patio, Elise and Peter signed their marriage license and captured family portraits. During cocktail hour, Elise and Peter added a super sweet addition to their wedding day… A Wedding Burro, courtesy of Haul N Ass Productions. Afterwards, we had a little portrait time with the wedding party and then some portrait time with Elise and Peter. Then it was time to party!

Reception time! The cocktail hour ended and guests made their way inside the main event space at The Paseo. Everything was decorated beautifully by Lace and a Barn. The food for the evening was catered by San Tan Brewing Company (which was so good). The wedding cake and other desserts were made by Piece of Cake Desserts – check out some of their other wedding cakes here (CLICK ME)! There were toasts, a singing performance, and tons of awesome dancing. As added entertainment at the reception, there was even a photo booth with fun props and an awesome backdrop, courtesy of Snap Booth in Arizona. It was one heck of celebration if we do say so ourselves. The DJ, Downtown Browne Productions (DJ Tempo Tim), had every guest on their feet and on the dance floor. It was a party!

It was an honor to capture this beautiful Arizona Mountain Wedding. Elise, Peter, their friends, and family were all so awesome to work with. We loved getting to visit your beautiful state and capture your wedding day. We hope you enjoy these photos for years to come. We wish you guys many years of a happy marriage!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Kristina & Joseph // Notre Dame Engagement

Kristina & Joseph // Notre Dame Engagement

Introducing Kristina & Joseph! We met Kristina when she was a bridesmaid in Aleks and Matt’s wedding in Fort Wayne a few years ago! We met up with these two at none other than Notre Dame University.  This Notre Dame engagement session was so beautiful. Read on to learn a little bit about these two and how our time with them went!

There is something about being on a campus with so much history and classic architecture that makes being a photographer so fun, especially when you’re working with a couple as awesome as Kristina and Joseph. These two Irish fans wanted to capture their engagement and love at their favorite place! We thought it was a great idea to capture them in a place that we don’t get to shoot at a lot!

After meeting up with them in front of the Notre Dame football stadium, we walked to all of the iconic places on campus: the historic Golden Dome, the reflection pool in front the Hesburgh Library (adorned with what many call the “Touchdown Jesus”), and the beautiful garden art structure in front of the Fitzpatrick Hall of Engineering. Everything about this session was so beautiful!

Kristina & Joesph will be getting married next year in a beautiful Macedonian Wedding! Can’t wait to capture all the awesomeness of their big day… Until then, happy planning!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Emily & Zach // Purdue University Engagement

Emily & Zach // Purdue University Engagement

Meet Emily and Zach! These two boilermakers have been together for a long time – They are high school sweet hearts! Capturing their engagement on such a beautiful campus was awesome. There are just so many special places to photograph! We are so excited to share a little bit about these two and their Purdue University Engagement. Here are all the sweet details…

We captured Zach’s sister Olivia’s wedding a couple of years ago (CLICK ME). He was also the best man in Katie and Logan’s wedding that we captured last year! See if you can spot him in some photos! We are looking forward to seeing Zach’s family again and working with such a great group of people!

We started at Purdue’s famous Bell Tower, then headed over to the famous Engineering Fountain. We got some epic photos of the blue sky with these Purdue hotspots. At these locations, Emily wore a long sleeve white top, light blue distressed high waisted jeans, and brown sandals, while Zach wore a denim shirt, green pants, and white sneakers – The two outfits complimented each other nicely and made for some awesome photos! After a quick outfit change into a beautiful yellow jump suit and jeans and a black shirt, Emily and Zach were ready for some more photos!

We took pictures on the steps of one of Purdue’s many beautiful buildings on campus and captured Emily and Zach in some gardens near by. Everything about this session was natural, fun, and felt like we were just watching two people fall in love. Emily and Zach were very modelesque and natural during their entire session, and it shows in the photos! Of course, we just HAD to take pictures with the famous Purdue University sign. Did you even go to Purdue if you don’t have a picture with this sign? Nope! It’s pretty iconic.

After this, we headed over to Emily’s dorm (which gave us MAJOR Harry Potter vibes) where they changed into their last outfit. Emily changed into a beautiful flowy sage green dress and Zach changed into a white button down shirt. We went to an open field near by to capture them with the sunset – and WOW what a sunset we had. The skies changed from orange and yellow to purple and blue and every color in between. It was a beautiful night!

Emily and Zach will be getting married next year at the White Rose in Decatur Indiana. You may remember this beautiful venue from a styled shoot we did last winter. If you’d like to see this gorgeous venue, click here (CLICK ME)! We loved capturing this Purdue University Engagmenet and we could not be more excited for their wedding next year. Until then, happy planning!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Kelly & Brandon // Cincinnati Engagement Photography

Kelly & Brandon // Cincinnati Engagement Photography

Meet Kelly and Brandon! These two Cincinnati love birds have chosen us to be their wedding and engagement photographers. We could not be more excited about it – We absolutely love our Cincinnati couples! When we travel for sessions, it is so fun seeing new venues and locations for photos. We’re getting a bit ahead of ourselves here…. Anyway, we had a great time with Kelly and Brandon at their engagement session. Here’s why!

  1. It rained! I know… how could that be good? Well, we find weather challenges to be fun in a way. It causes us to use our creative juices and fun ideas to make the session special for each couple. Kelly and Brandon didn’t let it get them down either! They danced, got in the fountain of the park we were at, and just rolled with the punches of the weather. It was a blast – Plus, the photos turned out pretty special! And who is going to forget getting engagement photos in the rain am I right!
  2. You could FEEL the love between Kelly and Brandon. They were just smitten. Even though the weather was rainy and cloudy, these two made it shine! This is what we love seeing as photographers… love!
  3. Cincinnati is very fun to visit and photograph! We love the variety of locations and new experiences as photographers – different ones than in Fort Wayne (though we still love Fort Wayne). We can’t wait to see what venues and photo locations Kelly and Brandon choose for their wedding. We just know it’s going to be awesome!

So even though we ran into some trouble with the weather, these two rocked their engagement session. We enjoyed getting to know Kelly and Brandon during our time together and getting to be a part of this special time in their lives! Seriously, we can’t wait for the wedding next year. Until then…!

Cheers,
-Dustin & Corynn

Taylor & Cory // Lake Wawasee

Taylor & Cory // Lake Wawasee

Meet Taylor & Cory! This super sweet couple was amazing to work with. Taylor and Cory are from Ohio, but travel to Indiana often for the lake and family – both are really important to them! Fun fact: Taylor is also a wedding photographer and we were pretty stoked that she chose us as her and Cory’s photographers (Taylor Ford Photography).

We had such a difficult time with the weather when planning our sessions. It seemed every time we put something on the schedule, it rained! With all of this, we ended up doing 2 mini sessions. We did one kind of last minute in downtown Fort Wayne after Taylor had her trial hair and makeup appointment. Although, these two don’t have much of a connection to Fort Wayne! So we did their second session at Lake Wawasee in Syracuse Indiana at Taylor’s family lake cottage. We always ran into crazy weather with these sessions, but it never scared us! Most photographers feel discouraged with weather like we had, but we like the challenge. We get to dig deep into our arsenal of creativity. At the lake, we went to the Oakwood Resort for some photos on the beach and on the pier – They turned out so cool!

These two are getting married at the lake at the end of September – We are so looking forward it! Check the blog out in October to hear all about it.

Cheers,
-Dustin & Corynn

Sarah & Ben // Cincinnati Engagement

Sarah & Ben // Cincinnati Engagement

Meet Sarah and Ben! We first met this amazing couple in Cleveland last Fall. They were guests at another wedding we were photographing. Both avid dancers, we couldn’t help noticing their slick moves on the dance floor! Since Corynn used to be a professional ballet dancer, we decided to strike up a conversation about dance. We had a great time talking to these two so we could not have been happier that they chose us to take their engagement photos (CLICK ME) and soon to be wedding photos!

This session was an adventure around Cincinnati! We hit several great outdoor spots and used the city’s beauty as our backdrop. We started off taking pictures around Sarah’s neighborhood. There was a very cool bridge and some interesting architecture that we couldn’t pass up. We continued our session by sashaying down to the waterfront for some fun photos near the water and under bridges, and then made our way to the park where Ben had previously proposed to Sarah. It was such a pleasure to capture Sarah and Ben as they revisited such a special spot.

We wrapped up the day by taking some epic photos on the top of some stairs. The sun was setting and it was absolutely gorgeous. We had Sarah and Ben stand on a fountain to get the best angle with the sunset in the background. A policeman came over and gave us a lecture on how “unsafe” it was. He went on and on, but there was no way we were going to let him get us down. We got the shot and Sarah and Ben came down from the fountain safe and sound!

This was such a fun session and we had a great time with you guys. We cannot wait to see what you have in store for your wedding! One thing is for sure, we are looking forward to an unforgettable first dance!

Cheers,
-Dustin & Corynn
