Gwen & Brandon // Intimate Fort Wayne Wedding

Gwen & Brandon // Intimate Fort Wayne Wedding

Gwen and Brandon got married! What seemed like a long time coming, the day finally came. We are thrilled to share details and some of our favorite photos from this sweet, intimate Fort Wayne wedding. Get ready!

We met Gwen through our studio manager, Lily. Lily married Gwen’s brother in December of 2018 – We’ve been dreaming of capturing her wedding ever since! We were so excited when Gwen and Brandon contacted us to capture their wedding day. While plans changed quite a few times because of the virus, their wedding ended up being the most sweet and romantic weddings we’ve been a part of.

We met up with Gwen and her awesome bridal party at her parents villa. They had spent the morning doing their hair, getting coffee and tea, and gathering things for the big day – We photographed Gwen’s beautiful wedding dress here and snapped a few details of her jewelry and their rings. When it was time, we all headed over to her brother’s house, where the wedding ceremony and reception were hosted. Gwen and her bridesmaids headed downstairs to the oh-so-cutely decorated basement to do their makeup, get dressed, and steam the bro-of-honor and dude-of-honor’s clothes!

Before Brandon and his guys got back from playing baseball all morning, Gwen got into her wedding dress! Her mom and bridesmaids helped her with buttons and details. After she was done getting ready, the girls headed downstairs to hide away until the ceremony. Brandon and his guys arrived looking ever so spiffy in their floral ties and matching white shirts. After guests were seated, the ceremony began!

Pair by pair, each groomsmen and bridesmaid walked down the aisle. Brandon showed a large range of emotions from nervous to excited to happy, but he was nothing but happy when he saw Gwen. Gwen made her way outside and down the aisle towards Brandon, smiling from cheek to cheek. The two exchanged vows, exchanged rings, and took part in a foot washing ceremony to symbolize service to the other. After a prayer, Gwen and Brandon sealed the deal with a kiss!

After the ceremony, everyone grabbed a quick drink then it was time for some wedding party photos! We walked over to the Indian Trails park for photos then headed back for dinner, toasts, and dancing. Family and friends sat around several round tables sharing and catching up after many weeks in quarantine. After everyone had dinner, toasts began. First was from the Father of the Bride, then the groom’s sister, and the last was from the Bride’s brother, Jace. His toast especially left most people, including us, in tears! The sun began to set on this sweet evening and the dancing began!

This wedding was one of the sweetest and most intimate weddings we’ve had the pleasure of capturing. We’re not sure if it was because of the beautiful location overlooking the pond, the lack of chaos that usually ensues on a wedding day, or because we knew this family so well before hand, but it was such a special wedding to capture and be a part of. We hope you enjoy viewing our favorite photos from this intimate Fort Wayne wedding.

Gwen and Brandon – We wish you guys the best of luck as you prepare to move to North Carolina and start this new adventure of being married. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day.

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Lauren & Austin // South Carolina Wedding

Lauren & Austin // South Carolina Wedding

Meet Lauren & Austin! We had the pleasure of capturing their gorgeous South Carolina wedding. We shot this wedding for Natalie Dalton Photography! When we found out that she was unable to shoot this wedding for medical reasons, we knew we had to step in and help her out. Read on to hear all the details about this South Carolina wedding and see some of our favorite photos…

Lauren got ready for the day in her uncle’s RV – It was so spacious and nice! After Lauren finished her hair and makeup, she put on her strapless wedding dress and her bridal look was complete. Lauren met her dad outside for a super sweet first look. From being around this awesome family, you could tell how close they all were, so their father-daughter first look was one for the books for sure. Afterwards, we took a few family portraits and some bridesmaids photos! While the girls waited for the ceremony to start, we grabbed the guys for a few photos. It was a great bunch of people to work with for sure!

Pretty soon, it was time for the ceremony to start! The ceremony and reception were at the Historic Peanut Warehouse, a spacious and unique barn wedding venue! At the front, where the ceremony was held, there was a hexagon shaped “arch” – It was a really awesome feature. Guests took their seats, bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle, then it was Lauren’s turn. Lauren and Austin stood at the front of the aisle in front of all their friends and family, said vows to one another, and kissed! Before we knew it, the two were married!

After the ceremony, we stepped outside the venue for some family portraits. Conway, the town where their wedding was held, is a historic town full of rich details and charm just outside Myrtle Beach. The river is no exception! Just steps from the venue, we all headed over to the river for wedding party photos! It was a beautiful location for photos.

After portraits, it was time to party! Everyone headed back to the reception space for dancing, toasts, and food. This was a super sweet wedding to be a apart of – We loved capturing all the fun details from the day while also helping our awesome community of photographers. We hope you loved hearing about this South Carolina Wedding and seeing our favorite photos from it.

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Emily & Jordan // Snowy Union 12 Wedding

Remember Emily and Jordan from their super sweet engagement session on their country property? Well if not, click here (CLICK ME)! Their engagement session was a blast, so we knew their wedding would be something to look forward to! Read along and check out some of our favorite photos from this snowy Union 12 wedding…

We used to work with Emily years ago at the Fort Wayne Magazine. So when we found out that she was engaged, we knew right away that we wanted to be a part of their big day. The day started at the beautiful Union 12 Wedding venue. They have this amazing getting ready suite for their couples, the wedding party, and family! Emily had her hair and makeup done, then it was time to put on her gorgeous dress. Her wedding dress was from the one and only One Fine Day bridal boutique in Fort Wayne! Emily’s mom helped her get into her wedding dress while her bridesmaids stood around them. Emily added her finishing touches of jewelry and then it was time for the first look! Jordan got ready in the upstairs area where the guys typically get ready! When he was ready and had his boutonnière pinned, he was ready to meet Emily outside for their first look.

It was pretty chilly outside and the wind made it colder. These two barred the cold with us as we took photos of their first look and portraits! After their first look, we headed up to the back covered patio at Union 12 for some photos with the wedding party! Then it was time to head inside, get warm, and start the ceremony.

The ceremony was super intimate, just family and close friends were present. The two exchanged vows, rings, and kissed! They were married and so so happy.

Emily and Jordan’s wedding day just happened to have a beautiful fresh snowfall, so the pictures were so wintery and magical! After the ceremony, we took family portraits then headed outside for a few more portraits of Emily and Jordan. Afterwards, the headed back inside Union 12 and made their grand entrance. Dinner was served, toasts were said, and dances were danced! There was also impromptu karaoke from Jordan which is always a fun thing at receptions. It was pretty awesome if we do say so ourselves…

Emily always dreamed of having a big white wedding – and we’re so glad that we got to capture just that. It was awesome day full of laughs, dancing, and a great group of people. We hope you enjoy your wedding photos for years to come. Thanks for letting us capture your snowy Union 12 wedding and all the memories that came with it. Best of luck on this new road of marriage!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Elise & Peter // Arizona Mountain Wedding

Elise & Peter // Arizona Mountain Wedding

Meet Elise and Peter, one of our amazing 2020 couples! We had the awesome privilege of capturing this fun Arizona Mountain Wedding. You can view all of their wedding photos here (CLICK ME), but our favorite moments are in the photos below. We also had an awesome time working alongside Daniel Martinez Hernandez, Elise and Peter’s wedding videographer (instagram: @shotbytruly). Read on for all the details of this sweet Arizona wedding.

The day’s events were held at The Paseo, an awesome wedding venue that sits near the Superstition Mountains and the Sonoran Desert. It has awesome getting ready spaces as well as picturesque views, a modern and stylish facility, and a stellar staff. Elise spent the morning getting ready with her favorite people. After getting her hair and makeup done, Elise put on her dress with her mom and bridesmaids. She paired her dress with simple accessories for an effortless glam bridal look. As everyone finished getting ready, guests began to arrive. Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony! The florals were delivered before the ceremony and were absolutely stunning. J Barry Designs created such beautiful arrangements for Elise and Peter’s wedding day.

Guests found their seats, then Elise made her way down the aisle towards the love of her life. The two exchanged vows, performed a candle lighting ceremony, kissed, and broke a glass, a common Jewish tradition, to symbolize the foreverness of their marriage! As guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on the patio, Elise and Peter signed their marriage license and captured family portraits. During cocktail hour, Elise and Peter added a super sweet addition to their wedding day… A Wedding Burro, courtesy of Haul N Ass Productions. Afterwards, we had a little portrait time with the wedding party and then some portrait time with Elise and Peter. Then it was time to party!

Reception time! The cocktail hour ended and guests made their way inside the main event space at The Paseo. Everything was decorated beautifully by Lace and a Barn. The food for the evening was catered by San Tan Brewing Company (which was so good). The wedding cake and other desserts were made by Piece of Cake Desserts – check out some of their other wedding cakes here (CLICK ME)! There were toasts, a singing performance, and tons of awesome dancing. As added entertainment at the reception, there was even a photo booth with fun props and an awesome backdrop, courtesy of Snap Booth in Arizona. It was one heck of celebration if we do say so ourselves. The DJ, Downtown Browne Productions (DJ Tempo Tim), had every guest on their feet and on the dance floor. It was a party!

It was an honor to capture this beautiful Arizona Mountain Wedding. Elise, Peter, their friends, and family were all so awesome to work with. We loved getting to visit your beautiful state and capture your wedding day. We hope you enjoy these photos for years to come. We wish you guys many years of a happy marriage!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Marisa & Ryan // Downtown Empyrean Wedding

Marisa and Ryan are married! They got married on a beautiful January day with snow fall You may remember them from their awesome engagement session with us, but if not, click here (CLICK ME)! Read on to get all the sweet details from this beautiful downtown Empyrean Wedding…

Marisa and Ryan’s wedding day started at the Empyrean! This wedding venue sits at the top of the PNC bank building over looking all of downtown Fort Wayne. With floor to ceiling windows wrapping nearly every wall, the views are breathtaking. They even offer awesome getting ready spaces for both parties and an entire additional room just for the ceremony. Convenience meets style at the Empyrean! Marisa got ready with her bridesmaids and mom. When it was time, her mom helped her into her dress and her bridesmaids helped with all the other details. After Ryan was all dressed and ready to go, it was time for the first look! Marisa walked up behind Ryan, tapped on his shoulder, and waited for his reaction. Only pictures can fully explain how sweet it was (see below)!

After the first look, we took a few family portraits then headed downtown for some wedding party photos. It was cold outside, but it was snowing little flurries – It made the photos so fun and wintery. After portraits, everyone headed back up to the Empyrean for food, toasts, and warmth! The reception space was decorated beautifully by Empyrean Designs, a custom floral and wedding decor business. The bouquets were also created by this awesome team!

Everyone made their entrances during the end of cocktail hour. Guests cheered as the DJ announced everyone in! Marisa and Ryan shared their first dance, then guests took their seats in the beautifully decorated dining room for dinner. During dinner, Marisa and Ryan cut their cake (which was made by Ryan’s dad)! Members of the wedding party shared toasts and lots of laughs, then it was time for some dancing! At the end of the night, Marisa and Ryan went outside with us to do some snowy night portraits. These are some of our personal favorites from the day, so we are so thankful that these two were willing to brave the cold with us!

We had a such a blast capturing these two’s wedding – Marisa and Ryan are some of the kindest people we know. They were even texting us on their honeymoon to make sure the photos they were taking during their trip were Dustin and Corynn approved! How sweet is that? This downtown Empyrean wedding was beautiful, elegant, and most importantly, really, really sweet. We hope you enjoy your photos for years to come.

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn

Stacey & Josh // Downtown Winter Wedding

Remember Stacey and Josh from their super sweet downtown engagement session? Well they just got married! Before you see all of their wedding photos though, check out their engagement blog (CLICK ME). Now for details about this Downtown Winter Wedding…

Stacey and Josh had their ceremony at the beautiful Allen County Courthouse. Stacey got ready while surrounded by her favorite people! After Stacey’s bridal look was complete with jewelry and details and Josh finished getting ready, they patiently waited for their first look! They met at the top of the steps of one of the courthouse’s many beautiful staircases. They exchanged private vows and had a moment to themselves before photos and the ceremony.

Before the ceremony, we had some time for portraits! Of course, we had to take some in the courthouse – The architecture is so beautiful. Afterwards, we walked around downtown Fort Wayne for more photos! The wedding party celebrated at Jk O’Donnell Irish Ale house with some shots. Then it was time to head back over to the courthouse for the ceremony.

Guests found their seats and the ceremony began! Family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen made their way down the aisle. The adorable flower girl prepped the aisle with flower petals, then Stacey and her brother walked down the aisle towards Josh. Stacey and Josh quite literally tied the knot by performing knot tying during the ceremony. They kissed and were married!

After the ceremony, we took family portraits on the steps of one of the staircases at the courthouse, then headed over to the reception! There were lots of toasts, a super yummy selection of cheesecakes from Purple Mountain Cheese Cakes and Desserts, and a ton of dancing! Quattro Systems had guests on their feet and on the dance floor all night long! Stacey and Josh played the shoe game too which is always super fun.

We loved getting to capture this sweet downtown winter wedding. We hope you enjoy your wedding photos for years to come. We wish you both the best of luck with marriage and your new lives together!

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
