Heather and Mark are married! We loved getting to capture all the love and celebration of these two awesome people on their wedding day. Heather and Mark chose Empyrean Events and Catering for all of their wedding day needs: food, flowers, ceremony, reception, and more! This gorgeous venue in downtown Fort Wayne offers wrap-around floor to ceiling windows, plenty of room to entertain, and sits at the top of one of the tallest buildings in the city. With beautiful views of the city and evening views of the sunset, this place is hard to beat!
Heather and Mark’s day began with getting ready at the Empyrean. Heather got ready in the bridal suite with her two daughters who were also her bridesmaids. They all helped each other get ready for the big day! Once heather was in her dress and after her daughters helped her with the final details, it was time for Heather and Mark’s first look! Heather walked into the room where they would be married soon, taped on Mark’s shoulder. His reaction was so sweet! These could not stop smiling.
After their first look concluded, we took Heather, Mark, and their wedding party to the streets below! Of course, we took these guys to some of our favorite locations downtown: in front of the golden doors of the Lincoln Bank Tower, outside of the beautiful Allen County Courthouse, and in front of the Empyrean itself! After capturing some awesome portraits outside, it was ceremony time!
Everyone headed upstairs to the ceremony room! Something we found really unique about Heather and Mark’s ceremony was how they chose to set up the seating for guests! They had the chairs set up in a half-circle around the alter – It felt so personal! These two said their vows, exchanged rings, and were married! After their first kiss as husband and wife, it was time to head into the reception and celebrate!
The Empyrean provided an amazing spread of food and dessert. All of Heather and Mark’s friends and family were dancing, eating, and celebrating all evening long! We loved having the opportunity to capture your big day. Best wishes to you both as you start this new journey together.
