Sending off the bride and groom into the night of their wedding may be one of the most magical moments of the entire day. Even though we are all exhausted from the happy tears that came as they said their vows, stuffing our faces with appetizers and desserts, and of course dancing the night away; we pull it together for one last “hurrah”! And for the bride and groom, running through the sparklers, bubbles, or confetti is one of the best feelings in the world. Just like the rest of your wedding, it should be planned uniquely and specifically to your relationship. If you’re more of an outdoorsy couple, maybe toss seeds. Or you want a more magical moment, sparklers or bubbles are another option! For such an awesome moment, you need some options! So here I am to give you a few unique ideas for your perfect send off! Pinterest is a great place to look for some inspiration as well. Don’t be afraid to do something different, and something that highlights your personalities. If you like to play dodgeball, party, or even be outdoors – there’s always a way to make your wedding send off, you! 

Glow Sticks

 

Now, I know what you’re thinking, really glow sticks. Sydney and Cody’s wedding this past year was an epic day, and their wedding send off was with glow sticks! The energy was electric, and it was like one last party to send the couple off on their honeymoon. For this we suggest exiting after dark, and getting really long lasting glow sticks. I’m not talking like something from the Dollar Store, do your research and find some incredibly vibrant and fun colors. Let your guests know ahead of time that they are going to send you off in style, and then let them have at it. Sydney and Cody’s guests truly had a blast celebrating them one last time, and I think our couple enjoyed it too! This is one of our favorite wedding send off ideas.

Lights

If you are more into the party scene, or just want an epic exit, light wands are for you! Our couples have used these in the past and had a blast, another wedding used these fun neon balloon lights. Flashing neon lights surrounding you as you run into the night, that honestly just sounds like the beginning of the after party! It is a super fun way to involve light in the send off, and give your guests a fun party favor to take home! Not only will you get incredible pictures, it’s a great way to end the night!

Sparklers are always a classic and are a great addition to any spring and summer wedding. Not only are they a guest favorite, but they are so much fun for pictures. Throughout the night guests will see the sparklers waiting to be lit, and KNOW what’s coming. Oftentimes most guests will stay through the end just to celebrate with sparklers. Don’t forget to get the extra long sparklers so you’re able to walk through a couple times. We want to make sure we get those dreamy sparkler photos! One of the most unique ideas I have seen to this day is seeds! Bird seeds don’t only give you a fairy tale send off, but provides a little snack for the critters in the area. Bird seed is especially helpful for our feathery friends during winter months, when there is not as much available for them to eat!The adrenaline that comes with being sent off into the night is indescribable!
