Sarah & Alex // Metea Park Wedding

Sarah & Alex are married! Their Metea Park wedding was full of family and love. We are thrilled to share more of their big day with you…

You might remember this couple from their precious Headwaters Park engagement! These Minnesotans came back to Fort Wayne for their wedding, and we are so glad they did. This family-filled wedding day was super special and one we were honored to be part of.

Their wedding day started with the girls getting ready upstairs at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where Sarah & Alex were married. While the girls finished preparing for the day, the guys arrived all dressed and ready to go. Once guests arrived and took their seats, the wedding party took their place, and the ceremony began!

They had the sweetest ceremony filled with so much love. Some family members read scriptures during the ceremony, which was so special! As Sarah & Alex stood before their families, they promised their vows to one another, exchanged rings, and kissed. They were officially husband and wife!

Following the ceremony, we captured family photos inside the church. Family is so important to Sarah & Alex, so photographing them with family members was such a joy. After family photos, we traveled to their reception location to take pictures with their wedding party!

Sarah & Alex’s reception was held at Metea Park in Leo. It was such a beautiful, simple, and perfect spot for our couple! As we walked around the park, we found a spot nearby with shade and that blocked the wind – amazing for photos! While it was a windy day, it was warm and sunshine-filled, making it wonderful for us. After taking photos with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, we took Sarah & Alex for some portraits of just the two of them! The love these two share is so evident and makes taking photos of them so natural and fun.

We finished up photos as the guests arrived, and then, it was time to party! The wedding party and bride and groom made their entrance into the facility, and everyone took their seats. Their food was delicious and unique – we had pizzas and pasta! It was such a cool and tasty spread. Then, it was time for toasts. Sarah’s matron of honor and Alex’s best man are married, so they did a joint toast! As the dancing started, Sarah & Alex had their first dance as husband and wife, Sarah danced with her dad, and Alex danced with his mom!

Then, it was time to open the dance floor to everyone! Their wedding felt like a family reunion. They celebrated their marriage with so many members of their families. It was a true treasure. As the sun started going down, we of course went back out into the field for those gorgeous sunset photos. Then, the night ended with a lot of dancing and celebrating our couple and the family being together again!

Sarah & Alex’s Metea Park wedding was beautiful and loving. We were honored to be part of their big day! We wish them all the best in their marriage and life in Minnesota.

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
