Meet Victoria and Nathan! These two met us in the beautiful city of Carmel Indiana. If you’ve never been there, make a trip. It is one of Indiana’s most beautiful cities – lots of restaurants, shopping, and art! Read along to learn more about this sweet Hotel Carmichael engagement session and see our favorite photos!
Victoria and Nathan really wanted some formal, classy engagement photos! We are ALL for that. We love when our couples want things outside the box, and we loved what these two chose. We started at the beautiful Hotel Carmichael in Carmel, Indiana. It’s a boutique hotel with so much charm and character. There were endless possibilities for photos there! Victoria wore a mermaid style pink lace dress while Nathan wore a tux! It was so classy and seriously awesome! Because it was so windy on the day of their engagement session, we made sure to do some photos inside of the hotel, as well as the outside to capture some of the gorgeous fall colors in the area.
One location and outfit change later, we headed over to the Cake Bake Shop (the newest location) and were stunned by the gorgeous winter decor outside! The shop was all decorated for winter and the holidays! There were snow covered trees and Christmas lights hung everywhere. Not only did we capture fall colors in Victoria and Nathan’s engagement session, but snowy winter photos too!
In front of the hotel, there was a big wall that framed the sky and the Carmel city skyline perfectly. It was a pretty big wall and we weren’t sure if Victoria and Nathan would be up for climbing, but we pitched the idea to them and they loved it! Because these two are professional cheerleaders, they had no problem scaling the wall AND posing like champs! We love when couples are comfortable enough with us to climb walls and do crazy things for a good photo!
We loved photographing this sweet and romantic Hotel Carmichael engagement session! Victoria and Nathan were awesome to work with and we know they are going to plan one awesome wedding next July. Can’t wait to capture your guys’ big day! Until then, happy planning…
