Meet Jill and Nick! We had the awesome privilege of photographing this super special event. Not only did Nick throw together an awesome birthday party for Jill, but also planned a surprise vow renewal! Even though we don’t capture many vow renewals, this one was so special to capture!
Jill and Nick are very good friends with our associate photographer, Michele. When she contacted us about capturing the whole surprise, we were all in! After capturing details, decorations, cake, and guests, it was just about time for Jill to arrive! Jill had spent the whole day with her close girl friends. They went shopping, got their nails done, and spent the whole day together. Jill knew something was going on, but she had NO idea what Nick had planned… Jill and Nick’s friend offered their property and barn for the party. It was so beautiful- the property had fields of wildflowers and greenery that we definitely used to our advantage!
Before Jill and her friends pulled up to the barn, her friends put a blindfold on her. Two of Jill’s friends walked her across the lawn, into the barn, up some old stairs, and SURPRISE! Jill’s face says it all! As soon as the blindfold was off, Nick ran up to her, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him (again). Jill and Nick’s oldest son brought Jill a beautiful bouquet of flowers and walked her down the aisle to Nick. During the ceremony, Nick even performed a song for Jill – Yes, it was adorable. These two shared their wedding vows again, enjoyed friends and family, and celebrated Jill’s Birthday and her and Nick’s 20 awesome years of marriage!
Capturing this sweet surprise vow renewal was an honor – We hope you enjoy these photos for years to come! Happy anniversary to Jill and Nick, and happy birthday to Jill!
