Meet Meg and Nick! We have known Meg for quite awhile – We photographed her sister Ellie’s wedding! See if you can spot Meg in any of their wedding photos (CLICK ME). This Fort Wayne Country Club wedding was so fun to capture – We love when we get the opportunity to work with the same family again. Keep reading on to learn about all the details from this sweet day and to see Meg and Nick’s wedding photos!
You may not recognize these two, and that’s because we weren’t able to do an engagement session with them! Nick is in the military, so coordinating travel plans across the country for an engagement session proved to be difficult. Rather than adding any stress on to wedding planning, we all decided it would be best if we kept things as simple as possible. They ended up having someone local do their engagement photos, while we capture their big day!
Their day started at the beautiful Fort Wayne country club. This venue is one of our favorites because of all of the awesome amenities it offers on a wedding day. From awesome getting ready spaces to amazing food, the Fort Wayne Country Club has it all. Meg had her hair and makeup done, then her mom helped her into her dress. Of course, she was surround by her sister Ellie and her other bridesmaids. They wore beautiful maroon colored bridesmaids dress, all different styles. After Meg was completely ready, she headed outside to where Nick was waiting for her – Time for the first look! Meg walked up behind Nick, tapped him on the shoulder, and they both smiled from ear to ear. It was about as cute as could be! Nick was wowed!
After the first look at the Fort Wayne Country Club, we all headed over to the beautiful Allen County Courthouse for the ceremony in the party bus. The courthouse is one of Fort Wayne’s most beautiful places to get married. From art mural covered ceilings to grand marble pillars, the courthouse has a charming and historic atmosphere perfect for any wedding ceremony. Before the ceremony, we took a few photos upstairs at the courthouse, then everyone headed to the first floor for the ceremony. Once every was in place, Meg and her dad walked down the aisle. Meg and Nick met at the front, made vows, exchanged rings, and kissed! They’re husband and wife!
After the ceremony, we headed around to a couple different spots in downtown Fort Wayne – the golden doors of the Lincoln Tower and Bank, in front of the courthouse, and by one of Fort Wayne’s many art murals. Before finishing up wedding party pictures, Meg and Nick popped some bottles of champagne to ring in their new marriage (see the adorable pictures below). After portrait time, we all headed back to the awesome Fort Wayne Country Club where guests were waiting for their arrival!
Once everyone made it to Fort Wayne Country Club, the wedding party made their grand, and funny, entrances. Meg and Nick were announced as Mr. and Mrs. and found their way to the cake table! After a sweet cake cutting, Meg’s dad gave an awesome welcome toast. Dinner was served, then Meg’s sister Ellie and Nick’s best man gave two awesome speeches. After this, Meg and Nick plated the shoe game, which drew many laughs and sweet moments. The dance floor opened soon after and their friends and families danced all evening long!
It was a wonderful day and super fun reception. We loved capturing Meg and Nick’s Fort Wayne Country Club wedding – what a fun day! We hope you enjoy your wedding photos for years to come!
Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
