Rachel & Patrick // Fountain Square Theatre Wedding

Rachel and Patrick are married! You might remember these two from their epic lake James engagement session over the summer. Now that you’ve seen their engagement blog, then it’s time to hear all about their beautiful Fountain Square Theatre wedding…

The day started at a gorgeous, newly renovated airbnb! When we pulled up to the house, we were absolutely shocked… The home was just recently renovated and restored by HGTV’s Good Bones. Corynn literally saw that house on TV earlier in the week. It was such a one-of-a-kind experience and a huge surprise. We spent some time capturing Rachel getting into her dress and adding final details of jewelry and shoes, then photographed the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids. Then we all headed to the beautiful Saint Joan of Arc Church near Butler’s campus for the ceremony!

While Rachel and her bridesmaids got ready at that sweet airbnb, Patrick and his groomsmen got ready at the Church. Patrick wore these awesome boots and had a special pocket watch to wear with his suit throughout the day. When he was finished getting ready, we set Rachel and Patrick up in a sweet stained glass room in the church so they could read their letters to each other (with no peeking), then everyone waited for the ceremony to begin!

The ceremony was so sweet. Once guests found their seats, the groomsmen made their way to their places and family and bridesmaids walked down the aisle. Before we knew it, Rachel and her dad were making their way down the aisle towards Patrick. Needless to say, Patrick’s face was nothing but pure joy! The ceremony commenced, and Rachel and Patrick were officially husband and wife! After the ceremony, we snapped some family photos at the church. Since church is very important to both Rachel and Patrick, we made sure to allow for plenty of time for photos inside and outside of the church. After capturing the newlyweds there, we headed to the Holcomb Gardens on Butler’s campus where we took fun photos on a bridge and got some epic veil shots. Rachel and Patrick memorialized their covid-19 wedding with two Corona beers! It was awesome!

After portrait time, everyone headed to the insanely beautiful Fountain Square Theatre for the reception! The historic theatre had been fully restored and the ceiling had been painted to look like the sky. Walking into the space, you can’t help but feel like you’re in Italy! There were toasts, first dances, and a very special dance by our bride and groom which was by far the biggest highlight from the wedding day. Rachel and Patrick changed clothes and recreated the classic dancing scene in the finale of Dirty Dancing. It was so memorable and fun! Guests and family danced the night away and spent the evening laughing, sharing, and celebrating Rachel and Patrick’s awesome new union.

Rachel and Patrick’s entire wedding day was picture perfect and so sweet and fun. They truly made our jobs easy (and made the day so memorable)! It was our first time at the Fountain Square Theatre in Indianapolis, and we hope it’s not our last. Thank you guys for choosing us to capture your most special day. We hope to work with you guys in the future and capturing more memories for you guys! Best wishes on your new journey of marriage.

Cheers,
– Dustin & Corynn
