Meet Tori and Derrek! These two live down in Indianapolis, so we got to go to the city for a day. They’ll be getting married this coming September in Indianapolis too, so we are really looking forward to coming back to capture their big day. Read along as we talk about Tori and Derrek and see our favorite photos from this White River State Park engagement session…
We met up with these two at one of our favorite locations to photograph at in Indianapolis – White River State Park! We walked all up and down the beautiful canal for Tori and Derrek’s engagement session! It was a blast. We started by the museum and other buildings in the area, then stopped for an epic photo with the beautiful blue sky and puffy white clouds. From there, we walked all over the state park looking for some fun places for photos! We had a great time exploring the area with them. Towards the end of the night when the sun was going down, we headed over to monument circle at the center of Indianapolis – These night photos were epic! Monument circle was lit up all blue for 4th of July, so we had some fun light to work with.
Originally, Tori and Derrek wanted to have snowy engagement photos done over the winter, but when we showed all showed up for photos, it wasn’t snowing! We decided to wait until it snowed again, but then covid-19 happened and we were all in lockdown. So here we are! Even though their photos are snowy, they sure are sunny! We think they turned out pretty awesome. Don’t you think?
With everything going on with covid-19, even with cancelations and rescheduling, it was really sweet to hear that these two are still planning on getting married this fall. Some changes may have to be made to make things safer, but Tori and Derrek will be married this fall! So until then, enjoy photos from this sweet White River State Park engagement! Happy planning!

Meet Hillary and Ethan! We had so much fun getting to know these two in the beautiful city on Indianapolis. We also had fun getting to work with their adorable dog, Fenley. Cutest family ever! Hillary and Ethan wanted to capture their love at several locations in Indianapolis, so we started at the gorgeous White River State Park. For their first outfit, they decided to rep their favorite sports teams (not the same)! Ethan is a huge Red Sox fan, while Hillary is a major Cubs fan. I guess not even sports rivalries can keep these two from tying the knot!
For the second location, we went near the Indianapolis Capitol building. This is one of our favorite backdrops in Indianapolis! This is where Hillary and Ethan wore their more formal outfit! Throughout the entire session, we had blue skies, puffy white clouds, and golden sunshine – We could not have asked for better weather to photograph in. Well, we could have done without the heat and humidity. Not complaining though! We ended up having to reschedule their session several times due to weather, so we were super happy with the weather on the day of this session!
After photos at the capitol building, we went down by the canal for some super sweet sunset pictures. We started up by some trees on the pathways, then went along the water. The sunset over the canal was so beautiful! These two were a blast to get to know. We loved getting to work with them and learn a little more about them before their wedding! These two will be getting married in November at the Bluffs at Conner Prairie. This is a new Indianapolis wedding venue, so we are really excited to photograph Hillary and Ethan’s wedding there! We are looking forward to going to the city to capture these two tie the knot. Until then, happy planning!

Meet Sara & Tim! We met these two down in the great city of Indianapolis for their engagement session. Rather than photographing this down-to-earth couple in the hustle and bustle of the city, we decided to do a backyard session along the lake that their home is on. Despite the heat and the crazy humidity, these two were great in front of the camera! We loved getting to know them while photographing their engagement session. Now for the details…
We began their engagement session at home in their backyard. We loved how cozy and comfortable this session was! Believe it or not, we had to reschedule this session THREE TIMES because of weather. We thought for sure it was going to rain again, but it didn’t! We ended up with some sunshine and blue skies! The next location we went to was down by the dam near their house. Water means a lot to Sara and Tim, so capturing their engagement and love here was essential. We love how those photos turned out! After photos in their backyard and by the water, it was time for an outfit change! If you can’t tell from the photos, these two love motorcycles! Tim rebuilds them as a hobby. So of course, we just had to capture Sara and Tim on one! We also got to capture these two with Tim’s huge collection of restored motorcycles. It was awesome! We’re so glad we got to capture these two with something that is so important to them! This session was a lot of fun – We loved getting to work with Sara and TIm, while capturing some super unique moments for them both.
These two will be getting married in september at the beautiful Mavris Arts & Event Center in Indianapolis! This historic venue has a beautiful industrial look – wooden beams, exposed brick walls, and artwork hanging from wall to wall. It is a gorgeous venue. We can’t wait to photograph these two there! Happy planning and we’ll see you guys soon!

Meet Lindsey & Andrew! These cuties invited us to spend an evening exploring downtown Indianapolis with them and we were so down with that! We started at the legendary Mass Ave because Lindsey was trying to surprise Andrew with a photo in front of a mural of his favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut, however, Andrew had no idea what he looked like so he was hilariously clueless. But hey it’s the thought that count rights? Also, you will notice that most photos that start with a kiss between these two end with full out laughing, jealous? I think you should be
Next, we ventured down to one of our favorite spots, the Indianapolis Canal near the Indiana State Museum and Indianapolis Capital Building. I hope you enjoy these two lovebirds, they started the session with, we don’t want to be all lovey-dovie like most people, well I think by the end they were sold on the method to our madness.

Drum roll, please! Meet Michelle and Adam, two big fancy doctors who live in Indianapolis. These two are blending their family so they will now have 4 awesome young girls to keep them busy! Make sure you check out the gif of them attacking Adam and Michelle, it’s the best! These two are tying the knot later this year at the brand new venue that Mallow Run Winery built just south of Indianapolis, called The Sycamore.
